Now, with Utah and Arizona in the same Division, the league already has a bui!lt in rivalry between Cotton and me.

His Toledo Titans (abbreviate that one!) defeated my Indy Invaders in the DFL Napoleon Conference Championship.

Hey everyone out there, I'm not sure I'm using this correctly but I found out about your league while trying to trace down relatives with my last name. Google gave me the name of a Phillip Corcoleotes playing for your Port City Steam team. It looks like your league is a fantasy football league but is Phillip a real person or is he ficticious? My name is George Corcoleotes and I presume if he is a real person, we are related- there are very few of us in the states. Could someone please help me out by letting me know who this person is?

:? Okay, that's all fine and dandy, but how did someone come up with my family name to use for one of his players? There's only about 7 people in the whole world I know of with that name. Was it just pulled out of a phone book or something or did/does someone know one of my relatives? I'm not pissed or anything, just curious since there aren't a lot of us around.

I'm not sure this is the case, but very often the programmers of text simulations include the first and last names of their customers in their randomly generated player name pool. So it may be that someone with your name plays Front Office Football and that's how your last name made it into the game.

Interesting! I'll check with my relatives to see if anyone knows about the league. Might just be a random pick from names available around the country on data bases and mail lists, but in this case, first names changed to protect the innocent or whatever. Looks like a cool league to be in. Thanks for the info and have fun!

Jim does include the last names of his customers in the list that generates player names. I'd say it is highly likely that someone with that name bought a version of Front Office Football at some point.
