Actually, now it's looking like the OSFLNews isn't going to happen for a while. The DB Updater keeps borking out while trying to write the team schedules. Ben's going to need to take a look at the issue, so I have no idea when the issue will get taken care of.

Man, did I get a kick out of this game.

When Randy Boone opened this game 13/14 (for a laughably pathetic 65 yards, I might add...), I was doing cartwheels. Why? Because it wasn't the 1-for-5, 1 yard, 1 INT start that I've gotten so used to seeing.

On the other hand, Paul Covington had exactly that kind of start, going 0-for-his-first-8 and completing his first pass just under the minute mark of the 2nd quarter. Yeah, almost halftime.

"BUT NUTAH, you're only saying Randy's first 14 passes to make his average look bad." OH HOW I WISH. Nope, Randy's average only got worse and the guy who teased me for over ten games last season about finishing the year with over 10 yards per attempt, finishes with 4.44 ypa. 4.44. Hey, if you can't give us a passing game, give us a running game, Randy. We'll let Giang handle the efficiency that a mediocre pass attack should be posting up with his 6ypc running (speaking of which, wow.) Sorta an April Fool's role reversal going on there, I guess.

gg Plastic -- it will get better for Covington. Today was really, really not his finest hour. His game was positively Boone-esque and I'm sorry anybody else had to suffer through that. On the other hand, I now know how Foosball must have felt watching the Stevens Cup solevision.

OTOH - go Bees secondary! you kids went to work today, and those receivers, especially Ireson, are no joke.
* - Half of the yips. Randy is content to keep the other half.

Also, the refs tried so hard to get Cov another completion there in the end, which I rather enjoyed watching in a sadistic sort of way.

Offense was putrid for almost the entire game, especially after J.B. Trotter went down. Don't think I can fix it any more than I have except by adding more talent, which is something I'll have a chance at next year.

Despite the good record this is nothing like the team from last year. Less talented, less cohesion and more injuries.

Apart from giving up an 80-yard TD run on the first play of the game, it was a solid effort. Can't get the running game on track, but Double-A is picking up the slack nicely.

Damn, that's pretty brutal.... was wondering because I felt like your team going to have a better record at this point. With OT and close games a lot of luck comes into play.
