It took me a moment to realize why everyone I lost out on was being signed by different teams to $2mil contracts :P
Utah pulls in an insurance tackle, Kavika Blidner, from Port City on a 1-year deal. And another one of those crappy 2nd or 3rd year players we always end up cutting later. *
Resolution for this year: sign at least one guy in FA1 that I keep through the regular season cutdown. That would be one more than last year.
* - We make it a policy to almost never sign unrestricted FAs to 1-year deals since they just go back into the FA pool the next year without the team being able to do anything about it (short of franchising). yeah, I noticed that...maybe he was playing at left tackle? They get the brunt of the pass rush, and his QB has fairly low SR, too, as well as a very high # of attempts. But I hope to never have to use Blidner. He would be for if say Keisel decided to go and get himself VSOD and winds up 25/25.Float likeabutterflysting likeabee.
