  • Gameplanning

Ok, I'm a self-proclaimed n00b. I haven't spent a whole lot of time with the game yet, because I pretty much play text sims in online leagues, exclusively.

That being said, I've been searching through the wonderful threads at FOFC, but I'm not finding to much on gameplanning.
I'm looking for basic and advanced help if I can find any. So if anyone has some useful tips and/or can point me to a good thread that I may have overlooked. That would be great.

This is for 2004, but the same principles apply. Study it, know it. I've gone like 17-4 since studying this thing.

      Here's what I do...

click all the offensive and defensive game plan things, and click "Recommended".

Through 10 years of my single player dynasty, I have the highest winning percentage in the league, made the playoffs in 9 years, and won 1 FOF Bowl while losing in one other.

I'm too lazy to figure out all the depth and stuff with gameplanning, so the Recommended is the way I go and I've been VERY successful with it. Apparently the programming on this game is amazing.

I'll give it a look, I thought that gameplanning changed drastically from 2K4 to 2K7 though.

          Yep

Much more in depth in 2007, but it still a very useful codex.

It has changed quite a bit, and I'm not sure that there are any "experts" in it yet.

I've been reading the Codex tonight, pretty interesting discussion in there. I am now REALLY looking forward to seeing the Pref. Draft results. I can't wait to look over my roster. Bring it!

I'm not drafting a punter so we will be going for it on every 4th down. :P
