  • Welcome JulioRiddols!

JulioRiddols has accepted the invite to be our 32nd owner. His team will be the Yuma (Arizona) Aces. I'll be sending him new league files tonight after I get home from work, after which he'll send me the preference export and I'll hopefully run the draft tonight. Hopefully.

In the meantime Julio, make yourself at home and get yourself set up with a logo/helmet/etc. I'll update the owner and division stickies.

EDIT - Note that I'm not sure how close Yuma is to Phoenix, where Hoosier's team lives. Anyone want to chime on on this potential location snafu?

Yuma and Phoenix are separated (according to mapquest.com) by 186.8 miles, if you are driving. Yuma is located west southwest of Phoenix.

I am more than happy to move my team farther away if need be- I went with Yuma because it is my hometown, but I'm more than willing to accomodate if there is any conflict with this.

Thanks for letting me on board, and I will get my preferences in as soon as I have the files I need- I look forward to getting this underway, and good luck to everyone involved.

Can I consider this your application? :D

Being that Yuma is 180+ miles away from Phoenix and seeing as how teams need to be within about 15 miles of each other to negatively affect each other's attendance and financials, I think Yuma is fine. Arizona is a big state. Or so I'm told.

                Welcome aboard!

Can you post your logo in the "team logos" thread so I can get it cut out and updated in the league banner, thanks.

                  Yuma.

I can deal with an in state rival. I mean, I've NEVER had a losing season in FOF, so I'm not real worried. 8)

Back in the old days, 1960's, there was an old western series I used to watch on television. It was called "The Rebel" and the main characters name was Johnny Yuma.

There is no other Texas team, know why? Because they fear me. You're close enough to Texas where you should fear me as well. Just some FYI.

They just didn't want to steal your fan attendance and for you to bolt ala "Acid" Mullen.

To me, it would be a good thing to eventually hate every team within (at least) 500 miles of me, if only in secret. I'll act all nice up front, but my intentions will be purely malicious...
