Oh thank goodness only Carlos Melnick is holding out.

We thought there was a chance we'd have 5-6 holdouts on our hands. Rare as they are. We managed to extend Fletcher (WR) and Keisel (RT) just in time, perhaps holding off another holdout there. With $43mm in cap room, we can handle this Melnick one, as well as all our remaining renegs, which are slotted for post-camp at this point.

S Lester Harding arrives 14/27. Could've been worse, haha.

hehe McBriar holding out. Looks like he's getting paid sooner rather than later. :)

If I'm doing a position switch, does it matter if I switch their position before weight training or after? I assume if I make their weight better after the switch it will have the same effect as doing it before.

Awesome my 60/60 MLB who has exploded onto the scene is "Suspended for Off-Field conduct".

WTF is that? I've never ever seen this before in this league...are you kidding me. How long does this "suspension" last for?

If you weight change, the player won't be at their new weight until you get them back after camp. You miss out on at least camp development at the desired position.

It's possible that some position switches are just plain better pre-rookie camp. But I don't know.

Matt, yikes, that sucks, and he wasn't even a red flag. Talk about your one in a million. This is going to last the year, I think, but I've never even seen one before.

Are you kidding me...the entire year? What a joke. Of course it would happen to my team.

It could be worse! you could have several top five picks in a few years VSOD. Happened to someone in the CyFL, poor guy....at least at the end of all this, you still have a kickass linebacker. But yeah, that is major ouch :(

We don't sign hooligans in Dakota. Not like those dirty divisional rivals, the Bandits.

Shoulda kept Gilooly away from the figure skaters, St. Paul!

                  Sigh...

And I love this division...just when I finally thought you were re-building and I had a chance Chicago hires a fantastic new coach and wins it. Now it turns out you're making a comeback again.

I'm learning but damn this game can be frustrating. It doesn't help when you have to battle top notch coaches week in and week out. I'll tell you what though...when I finally beat you two seasons ago that was a great victory...and beating Chicago once this past year was nice as well.

Don't worry, the only top notch coach in the division is Clown. My plans will go down in towering flames of hubris during the season.

Looking at the transaction logs --

G Brent Donaghy (ANC) also suspended.

Camden and Morgantown are getting newly renovated stadiums in a few seasons.

Yuma, Waco, Gainesville, and DENVER!!!!! (aw dannngit?!) saw their reno votes fail.

8th-year QB Jonathan McBriar's holdout is probably the most amusing ever. After four starting years and a career 70.5 QBR, McBriar was franchised by Waco and is taking it out with a holdout against Dakota. He's scheduled to earn 16.64 mm in salary.

                          Other holdouts:
                          • Star Phoenix safety Mo Lyon
                          • Declining San Fran star RB Kendrick Rose (with 2 years left on his deal and in his 9th year, it seems unlikely he'll get re-signed)
                          • Rising star New Orleans corner Marc King
                          • Dakota's second franchised player holding out in 39/39 linebacker Roderick Montgomery (wow, the Totems really got the short end of the holdout stick!)
                          • Mega-mega South Maryland corner Jerry Drake in the last year of his rookie deal,
                          • Serviceable safety Tyrone McKnight of St. Paul (can't be too expensive),
                          • 2-year starting tailback Jorge Hansen in Chicago, and
                          • 54-career-sack 34 weakside 'backer Carlos Melnick of Utah (due for a pretty substantial raise)

Lol. I can't believe that renovation went through. The people of Morgantown are pretty stupid.

McBriar is getting paid but Montgomery can take a long walk off a short pier. He's 39/39 and declining. He should be honored to have been franchised.
