Originally posted by Nutah View Postgg Shark. We were struggling back and forth early, but really hit our stride in the second half, and the change happened very suddenly. Propelled by a 60-yard run from our #2, Woods (also the hero of our past Stevens Cup - guess he's hanging onto that job a little longer), we stormed forward to take control.
A few lucky breaks along the way - a 94-yard punt return from our PR extraordinaire, Easton. This was looking like a slugfest before it all broke open. Our pass rush really did a number on that OHV o-line, and Andrews wasn't helped by dealing with a full quarter plus of familiars every time he tried to throw the ball.
This could've easily turned out like last week for us, but once we got the lead, we held on.Miami Sharks (BLB)

I wanted to avoid throwing into that Columbus secondary as much as possible so I cranked up my run percentages for this game, both in the basic game plan and in the the adjustments screen. It didn't really seem to work early on but I couldn't complain too much as we built a nice 21-3 lead in in the first half, running the ball 18 times and throwing 20 passes.
As soon as we built that lead, however, my coach decided to toss the game plan right out the window. Despite our averaging over 6 yards per carry on the ground and us sitting on a 18 point lead, we only called 9 run plays after that (including a kneel down at the very end) and more than twice that number of passes. And what do ya know? Suddenly we're going 3 and out, throwing interceptions and doing generally everything we can to get Columbus right back into the game. Luckily for us Robert Jamison comes up with our second pick against Tubbs on the day and we hold on for the victory.
Oh, and Burt Newman scores his first touchdown since becoming the league's all time leader in touchdowns, after an 11 game drought.
