What's the league record for punt yards in a season? I'm pretty sure it's gonna be broken this year

We couldn't do anything on offense today. gg tomr. Came down to a last second FG attempt...thankfully missed by you guys. Must be all that snow. Also, I think our teams combined to average about 25 yards to go on 3rd down. Sheesh!

5,848 yards back in 2006, surprisingly 6 guys punted for over 5,000 yds that year.

The year 2007 had 3 over 5,000 yds and it wasn't until 2017 that had 2 more guys go over 5,000 yds, then just 1 in each in 2018, 2019, and 2020, and that's been it.

Not sure if it should really be surprising considering cohesion was down in the first year of the league, which should drive offense down resulting in more punts.

Then again, I'm watching my Dallas Cowboys suck right now.
