Like Ootp baseball you should be able to follow the upcoming potential players for the draft. Damn is Matt Barkley not revealed to us till the off-season comeon. Best kept secrets.

Last time I had top 5 pick no QB's or Wr's worth a shit. Think Pinson could be OK with a stud WR.........

I think people mostly try harder to win than they might if they see Andrew Luck and RG3 at the top of the next year's class.

I'm with mike. Tanking could become an issue.

The reason it works in OOTP is because draft picks are nowhere near sure things. And they can take years to develop or fail. In football, this isn't as true. They're hot out of college (ie. the minors) and expected to hit the ground running. Top picks count for so much more than in baseball.

I think that's a great idea and you could make it so you could only see there stats through out the year that way it could give u an extra tool when evaluating the talent, to goalong with bars and info you gain from the combine - Its always nice to scout earlier.

I think it would be cool to see relatively meaningless information like name/college/ht/wt. A little bit of a bone for the immersion, without revealing much real information about the class in a way that encourages tanking (the top picks are 'guaranteed' enough as it is.) Not how the game is designed, though.

Maybe a half or full week league recruiting / draft scouting / FA preparation break every season after the class rolls out, if people feel there's insufficient time to scout the draft? It might encourage the pre-timed first round to go by faster, as well, as people can have more solidified boards/strategies/trades worked out by the time to draft goes untimed.
