Had some sort of computer hiccup this weekend and it lost all my shortcuts. I think I went back and made sure I had everything loaded right but I can't get this league to show up when starting the game. Any ideas or do I just need to start over?

Hey,
so when you click "Load Game" after launching FOF2k7, OSFL doesn't appear in the dropdown list of games?
Do you have the 'Multiplayer' head checked?
Are at least the league files + all stat files (end of season) installed in the 'leagues' folder?
If you are just loading up now, I believe you are going to need to download and import, in this order, *both* the "Stevens Cup complete" *and* the "2025 EOS" files.
If you just lost all your shortcuts, everything should be there though...Float likeabutterflysting likeabee.

The batch file is really just to load the correct set of images and city names. It isn't strictly needed to functionally use a MP league. If there's nothing in the MP dropdown, you gotta check your leagues folder...the files may not be in the right place.
Remember that all the league files (that is, the simmed stages, and the end of season files) for any league itself go right into the LEAGUES folder. No subfolders or anything.
The city name / nickname definitions are what go in the UNIVERSE folder - they're just eye candy.Float likeabutterflysting likeabee.

I've not been able to get this to work yet. I went ahead and uninstalled and then reinstalled. Can someone treat me like a total newb and tell me how to get started in this league all over again. I hate to think about missing any more exports then I have already as my lowlifes can't afford to miss any time.GM - Davenport Brawlers BLB

It isn't that much trouble to get the league started....just have all the EOS files and the latest sim imported into the \leagues\ folder.
Start up FOF, click on Multiplayer Controls, and then "Enter New Career." Select Los Alamos, choose "Begin without Draft", and enter the league name OSFL2007.
It'll tell you to send a file to the commish, but you don't need to, that's only for when the league is first being set up. Instead, just click 'open' and open the league. The OSFL2007 league will be in the dropdown menu.Float likeabutterflysting likeabee.

What operating system are you using?
If you installed the game, you WILL have a C:\Users\nelmsm\AppData\Roaming\Solecismic Software\Front Office Football 2007 folder. On Windows 7.
The locations are slightly different in XP and Vista.Float likeabutterflysting likeabee.

You never said if you're using Windows 7 or XP.
If you're using Win 7, you'll need to make sure you have full control of the folders located here.
C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Roaming\Solecismic Software where XXXX is your computers name.
Once you get there right click the folder, hit properties, then the security tab, now make sure System, XXXX, and Administrators have full control. Just click the link in "Group or user names" and then look at the box below where is says "Permissions for..." If they don't hit the EDIT button, and then put a check in the Full Control box, and do that for all three.
This will allow FOF to write to the folder when extracting the league file.
Now in this location...
C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Roaming\Solecismic Software\FOF 2007 you should have an import, export, leaguehtml, leagues, and universe folder, if you are missing one just add it.
The Universe folder will have your league folders, ie., eNFL, OSFL, and any other leagues you are in.
Inside your league folders(OSFL, eNFL, etc.) will be your league team image files, the frfoot.fcy and frfoot.fni files as well as the batch file. Note you will also have the frfoot.fcy, frfoot.fgr, and frfoot.fni in the universe folder, those are there for solo play, so don't remove them if you plan on playing solo.
You will also have to create a shortcut link in this folder and the target of the shortcut is this "C:\Program Files (x86)\Solecismic Software\Front Office Football 2007\FrFoot2007.exe" A quick way to do this is go to the location above, and then right click on the FrFoot2007.exe file and then create shortcut, then cut and paste it to the Universe folder I mentioned above.
That's what the batch file is looking for, if you have this as your batch file...
Code:cd.. copy OSFL\frfoot.* C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Roaming\Soleci~1\FrontO~1\universe copy OSFL\*.bmp "C:\Program Files (x86)\Solecismic Software\Front Office Football 2007\Pictures" start FrFoot2007.lnk
Now if you back up to your league folder here
C:\Users\XXXX\AppData\Roaming\Solecismic Software\FOF 2007
That is where all your leagues get extracted to and there shouldn't be anything else in there.
Now the one other thing I did as well was to give full permissions(like above) to this folder as well
C:\Program Files (x86)\Solecismic Software\Front Office Football 2007
just to be sure and I've never had any problems.
Now if you have XP someone else will have to give you directions, as I haven't used XP in years and can't remember the full locations for FOF.Last edited by Ozias; 09-26-2012, 05:38 PM.
