Don't know what to do

Alright guys,

I have no idea what to do at this point. I wiped out both my laptop and PC and reinstalled the game and tried reinstalling all our league files on both...

On the laptop, it still comes up with the exact same error as before when I click the Open Game part in the game and try to open my North Liberty file.

On the PC, I can't even unzip the league files. It comes up with a checksum error if I use ZipGenius and a File Cannot Be Read error if I use XP's unzip.

Either way, neither fucking computer can run our league anymore, for no apparent reason. I haven't changed anything, I'm not running new programs, I haven't downloaded anything.

I'm still waiting to here back from Solecismic about this. We'll see, but I'm not holding out hope. At this point it's a crap shoot if the game will work at all, and it definitely won't work with our league files.

Any more ideas?

Really stupid question, but have you tried old fashioned WinZip?

Are you running XP pro or home?

Can you unzip other zip files?

Do you have AntiVirus software?

You probably just have a bad download of the zip file. I don't think it's your computer.

Did you try downloading the export.zip file again?

Sounds like the download and save was incomplete.

Cotton... Everybody else got the file fine. I've downloaded the thing like 100 times and kept trying, and nothing works.

jistic... I don't have WinZip. I should download that now and try it.

I'm running XP... Um... shit, I don't know. Pro I think. On my Laptop I'm running XP Media edition or whatever.

I CAN unzip other files, and I'm running antivirus now.

Solecismic support emailed me back... and basically told me to work with Skerik because they don't know how to help me. Lovely.

Winzip now tells me that information in the Zipped files is damaged and doesn't match what it's supposed too...

Camulos suggested someone email me the file, because he had problems with cacheing it or something when he was uploading.

If someone could do that, that would be outstanding.

Hopefully that will fix all the problems. I apparently just have a bad version of the file.

Also, try disabling your AV software when d/l and extracting. It's a reach, but maybe the league files are being damaged when scanned. Also if you have a firewall of any kind it can damage files when reassembling.

These are reach's but something to consider.

Glad to hear it. And it makes me think even more that it's either AV or FW.
