Kalispel lost it's top weapon P, Jake Bayer to a strained calf muscle. In a game where the Jaguars held the ball for over 35 minutes coach Hudson was impressed with his defense. Allowing only 310 yards of offensive with the defense on the field the whole game JT Brogan was praised by the leagues 3rd youngest coach. In fact the first prospective replacment for Jake Bayer , 16 vet Ethan Wappler is older than coach Hudson.
Maybe a sign of the times Owner Tom Rutherford set up his team with youth. The Stags hope to build the leagues best defense with 6 of its top potential players on the defensive side of the ball, including shutdown corner Ernst Leland Rookie CB from Indiana and Run stuffers Vance and Turner inside. The Stags seemed to destined to be one of the elite defenses in the league in a few seasons. Of course the defense also controls the purse strings of Rutherford also.
