A holdout can end, I think the first opportunity is after TC. If they go past TC I don't know if it will ever end.

If it ends without a new contract though, the player will hate you. Probably fo' lyfe.

His "life" is probably only this season so he can hate all he wants.

From my few holdouts experience, if they didn't forgive and forget straight after TC then they didn't play for me all season.

It's a case of just hoping he decides to honor his existing contract or it will be a big gamble.

Edit: just remembered one guy held out just preseason and was ready but rusty for the opener

Well, it is unlikely to happen this camp, but it's almost certain that it is going to be somewhere soon in his future, given how bad his combines are.

Important to remember that potential bars are very misleading in rookies, when the combines are not good enough to support them.

It's the exact opposite case of your young LB Donald Graham, who came out very low rated, went +8 in his rookie training camp and has been climbing in big leaps ever since.

The overall takeaway is that when you see a 15/50 undrafted rookie, he probably sucks (look at his combines/bar profile/development/etc to make a better decision). That's not to say the 15/30 rookie is going to be awesome. He probably sucks too.
