            preseason (previous) ratings were based off of the in-game power rankings, the current is based on a complex formula of points for/points against, opponent strenght, etc.

              oh, ok, just curious. I didn't think that the rankings in the game had changed, but I wasn't sure

                    Using preseason games for this probably isn't the best idea, if you want it to be accurate. Some of us have inactivated starters for part of the preseason.

                      True, but it's interesting nonetheless. I hope you update it regularly during the season, as the Grizzlies sink lower and lower in the standings.

                        This formula must be VERY complicated for my team to go 2-1 in the first 3 weeks and drop 11 places to #18 in the league.

                          I agree that it isn't terribly accurate, but it is fun and interesting nonetheless.

                            I think it's great. Gives us more to look at then the power ratings from within the game. Hopefully you keep it up in the regular season like liquid said.
