    Updated: MIDWEEK1 = Sunday 10/28, REG1 = Monday 10/29.

Felt a bit rushed considering the importance of roster cut downs heading into week 1.

Fine preseason in Yuma, coming into the regular season healthy and apparently with one of the best front 7's in the league based on our sack numbers in the preseason. Riddick Schultz is enjoying his move to WLB in our new 3-4.

Rookie tailback Gilbert Money went to work, tallying 115 yards on 24 carries. No fumbles. I think that cements his role on the team, and I'm going to step up efforts to trade RB Nate Washington - wouldn't like to carry 4 RBs if I can help it.

Not while carrying 2 FBs, anyway.

A good day from both quarterbacks, and another leading performance from rookie RB->WR convert Wade Morton. Morton definitely earns our preseason Star award. 18 catches for 292 yards on 24 targets, which is 12+ ypa. All but five of those yards came with our backup QBs throwing to him.

Ike Arias finally showed up today, notching 4 hurries and half a sack from the WLB position. All in all, decent preseason from a number of rookies, and it's clear that a few others - mostly our pair of frosh corners - have a long long way to go.

gg King Kosar. Looking forward to the reg season. Schulz is going to be nasty as that 3-4 WLB.

That .208 yd/carry average should make him a starter shouldn't it? Of course the rest of your offense must be doing well to get him 115 carries in a game.

May they bring you many spoils!

And yeah, Money really showed he could carry the load today. Some guys can't get 115 carries in a whole season! Ahah...

Dammit, Gene Sante to the rescue again. Two 4th quarter TDs to pull out a win, 17-16. Dude looks like a superstar - in preseason. But a big goose-egg in Sense Rush... what to do, what to do...

The preseason is over and the Showboats have their winner of position battle!!

Back-up RB --> K. Giles over R. Groh Maybe we found another gem in the draft or maybe is just preseason but Rookie Giles rushes for 7.26 avg 10 carries for 10+ yards and 1 hundred game and 3 touchdowns. Also heŽve 78.57% of catches completed in his way and 7.36 per grab. Bad news for Groh in his last year of rookie contract who will be the 3rd back-up but maintain his job returning the balls.

4th WR --> A. Hargrave over S. Littlefield Maybe 4th Wide out in other teams will be simply a cover up man but in the passing focused attack of the Showboats heŽs important as a slot WR and Hargrave will be in the line-up week after week after a good pre-season, grabbing 60% of the balls that were threw to him and put a decent 10,25 YPC in the way.
Two rising players and one winner! This is football man!

2nd OLB --> M. Shapiro over P. Arbuckley Big investment in Shapiro during the off-season and now heŽll be the back up over the drafted rookie, maybe heŽll a bust but we need to give him a chance after a good pre-season play, 6 tackles, 2 hurries and only 2 catches allowed... See what happens in real action!
