  • Week 2 Pregame/Game Discussion

So we can skip the [spoilers] for when the sim comes out.

    Utah at Pearl Harbor

We'll finally give a chance to avenge all those times Pearl Harbor gave us fits in the preseason. It won't be easy, though, because on top of that RB duo they've recently added the incredible WR Josh Beuter, and QB Doug Shedleski is coming into his own.

Beuter destroyed us in the preseason game, so we'll have to try and contain him better this time.

Utah's shown more and more faith in safety Lance Morris with each passing season, and now the fifth-year safety has stepped into the top nickel back role.

It's been a long, hard fall from grace for Stephen Easton, who looked like a budding star early in his career, only to fall on his face in 2025. So our search for a #3 corner has been forced to look outside the position grouping.

Morris is also the top backup at both S spots, and didn't allow a catch in 30 pass plays in week 1. Spotlight white-hot in week 2.

    Ohio Valley at Dakota

It will be a good game, after winning on the road the first divisional game I think this is one of the hardest games of the season for us, He´s good in offense and good in defense... Soon to talk about a Play-off preview game??

Time will tell!!. Andrews, Howe and Chervert are ready for the match!!

    GL man!!

Big test for our defense vs the Showboats today. The defense was a bit of a disappointment against St. Paul, and the Showboats have some impressive weapons on offense. Gotta hope the "good" Johnathon McBriar shows up for 100% of this game, and not the 66% "evil" McBriar we had against St. Paul.

        Charlotte @ Washington

Home opener. No way of scouting Charlotte, since it looks like they missed their week 1 export. They have some deadly talent, so this is no gimme. Surprisingly loaded roster. Hopefully homefield is enough of an edge.

Frodo is coming to town, and we've transformed our stadium into a replica of Mordor for the occasion. If the defense plays like they did in week 1, I think we can take this one, hopefully by forcing turnovers and capitalizing.

What if Frodo played for the Eagles?

Our defense opened up like a sieve for Pearl Harbor, who put up 214 yards on the ground and 235 through the air (on 21/25 passing!).

Again, we had no answer for that Bruce Rodriguez guy.

Our offense did a solid job, but the defense - pathetic. Good game to terdan and PH.

Earnest Giang was held to 14 yards on 8 carries, which is also by far his worst output as a Bee. #2 Ryan Green actually picked up a lot of the slack and carried the run game today. I am a little surprised because I've never really got to find out what I have in Green, but it's what I drafted him for -- to succeed Giang.

Great game vs Ohio Valley, as I expected it was a close affair. Bad McBriar showed up early, going 5-16 with 2 interceptions, with only a 44 yard completion to Reverend Lovejoy to his credit. Both teams were sloppy, totaling 6 turnovers with 3 each.

Quack Duckworth, who we drafted 3rd overall, fumbled again early. However, he made up for it running for 159 yards on 26 carries. Been a while since I've had a stud RB, and it's nice. I'll still take a stud WR, though!

Down 20-14, Ohio Valley drove to inside my ten late in the 4th quarter. It looked bleak, but Cris Hutchins (last year's big draft pick) picked off a pass in the endzone, virtually sealing it for Dakota.

Rematch in the Super Bowl, Ohio Valley? It could happen, you have a good team!

It's a 1:72 scale replica so Frodo can feel normal sized in it.

Man, what a dud of a performance - 12 pass defenses, 10 penalties, 4 red zone visits and only 6 points to show for it...

And, of course, this sonofabitch -

                          We was pwned. gg CHA.
