I think Lake County could use some special teams over there Opening kickoff returned 3 yards to the 6-yard line. Another kickoff returned 1 yard to the 3-yard line (how does this happen?!) A punt returned -4 yards, then fumbled and returned by Utah to the endzone.

Our STs unit is fairly solid, but not 'the best ever'...so LAC's must be suffering a bit.

Almost didn't matter, though, because evidently Paul Covington TAKES WHAT HE WANTS. After a few weeks of good pass D, we couldn't stop this guy at all, despite LAC's apparent lack of receiving options. It was only as we piled up a big lead that we started -- STARTED -- to get a few plays here and there against him. That guy is a really special QB.

We were bailed out today by Randy Boone having the best game of his season, although it was in large part due to some major YAC. RB Earnest Giang took one 61 yards to the house, and TE Mario Bradford added a 96-yard catch-and-run. In our first post-Sidharta game, Alvin Foley registers only two catches, but Boone goes off for 371 yards on 18-for-24 passing.

Another solid day on the ground, as well. A lot of big gains from backup RB Ryan Green. The future is looking sorta bright at the position. It's always a good day when you roll up 548 yards on offense.

Nobody really flashed on offense all game except Duckworth, but that's just fine. He didn't fumble and racked up the yardage. The pass rush was there again.

Our biggest test of the year comes up this week against Columbus. 7-0 start has exceeded my lofty expectations of the preseason, but I think our first loss might be coming up.
