  • Week 12 Discussion

Bees play host this week to San Francisco, where the locals have to be positively livid about the performance of Cornell Davidson so far this year. Davidson surely must be held responsible for all-everything WR Shaun Wells suffering to a 3.88 ypt in 80+ targets so far this year.

Utah made its second lineup shakeup in recent weeks when it demoted guard Jared Craig, and promoted Mo Marchant in his place. Bees coaches think it's no accident that Earnest Giang responded with his first 100+yard rushing day since week one. Craig is a great pass blocker, but Marchant is stronger and does a bit of both.

We'll see how far he can carry us. It's a lot of fun watching this team hunker down into its goalline set and run the ball. Very hard to stop - and the three TEs and even the FB and RB, they all pose legitimate receiving threats out of the backfield.

Changes also in Ohio Valley, if the sim allow us A. Hargrave will be in the Line-up in the opposite site of Neal Howe, Mr catching everything has 21 from 30 attemps in his stats and earned one oportunity against North Liberty this week. First rounder J.B. "butter" Erickson was demoted to the slot.

Also I made a change in the RT spot deactivating D. Hitt after a disastrous season and promoted R. Jaster to the starting job and activating J.J. Stubblefield to cover both T spots

See if my offense grows a little with this changes and have the ball a little more to keep our D out of the field

Still think you ought to give Littlefield a try as a starting WR. That guy is better than advertised ;)

Thanks man, I tutorized both during the season and this is the splits...

        A. Hargrave 21/30 300 Yards, 5 more than 20 yards and 2 fumbles

        S. Littlefield 18/28 174 Yards, 2 more than 20 yards, 2 drops and 1 Touchdown

I think to put Hargrave in the 2nd will be more effective, what do you think about??

This week J.B. Erickson in the slot and S. Littlefield as a 4th option, but both will see targets, Erickson is a lot inconsistent but grabbed 6 more than 20 yards in one hand and in the other 5 drops... I really don´t know what do with the rookie, if still developing him since the bars finished or surrender

Pretty murderous stretch to close the season... 4 games on the road, and the two home games are against Columbus and Portland.

Austin will stay in the starters' spot. Took a hard look, and to be fair, he's surrounded by a bunch of people in their first three years on the team. Cohesion's pretty bad. He's not great, but he's still our best shot right now.

This week it's at Gainesville, where we have a surprising 4-1 edge on this team. Don't know what to expect here. Tweaked the offense a little, so here's hoping. :)

I might have cut Rufus Jaster too soon, but we were crowded at the position and he sucked last year. :)

Dakota plays Lake County where we hope to contain Ireson and hopefully not turn the ball over more than 3 times.

Dammit. Started really strong, but faded down the stretch. Got absolutely nothing for YAC from the receivers. 31 completions, 35 yards *total* YAC. Can't put that entirely on Double A. Missed a big opportunity there.

gg Tom. My special teams really won the game, though Salinger getting hot late didn't hurt. Suggestion: Get the ball into your TEs hands.

gg Brad. You really clamped down on my passing game to start the game. Randy started out 4/12 for about 30 yards with a pick or something like that. Luckily we had the run game to lean on, with Giang going over the 1000-yard mark on the season and Ryan Green's strong day making it nearly two 100-yard rushers in one game. By the end of the game, the short passes were making more hay.

Bayhawks don't run much at all - 32nd in the league in rush attempts per game - and it allowed us to clamp down on their pass game. If it weren't for a 60-yard bomb to Shaun Wells, it would have been a sub-100 yard passing day for Cornell Davidson. Having our top corner back for the game didn't hurt.

Defense got eaten for lunch by Lake County, despite creating five turnovers to our three.

503 total yards for Lake County, 416 passing yards for Covington, and 7 catches for 217 yards for Ireson despite being double covered all day. Worst torching one of my defenses has ever taken as far as passing is concerned.

Gave up the lead with under 2 minutes left and lost 34-33.

                          gg, Lake County!

It's games like this that make me wonder if Cary Money really has the potential to be good. He seemed to complete everything today and he was really in sync with Rico McKnight. If those two get on a roll, the sky is the limit for Boston.
