  • Johnnie Lynch? Something the devolper needs to work on.

The worst free-Agent, LDT, from Syracuse. Right now he is a big fat 0 according to my scout with the upside of you got it 1. Might as well play with 10 players. I am suprised that the game even has any players this poor, unless the rating system does not have as much weight as we all believe it does.
If this player were in the game all the opposing team would have to do was run right for huge chunks of yardage. He is rated a 2 as a punishing hitter and 8/16 at play diagnosis . Other than that he is all 0's. 4 yr veteran to boot.

Why shouldn't it have these type of players? A 0 is not a 0 in relation to you or I. It is a 0 in relation to the average NFL Player. This guy is the worst of all of the NFL eligible players. It doesn't mean you or I could beat him in an organized game. That being said, this is the type of player I'd be looking to replace immediately.

I must confess I don't know the games value for players.A body is a body. That being said, Even the worse professional players were stars at various levels. Someone has to be at the bottom of the talent pool , I am just saying it seems like 5/15 rating would be more approiate is all for someone with 4 yrs of experience

EF27 hit it dead on. This isn't Madden, where backups are rated in the 80s. I like this system MUCH better. It uses the entire 0-100 range. People who have played other games have a tendency to think of a guy rated 2 as a punishing hitter as being some high school kid, or maybe your 2nd cousin who was on the scout team at Louisiana Lafayette. That's not the case at all in FOF. A guy rated 2 as a punishing hitter in FOF is simply the wimpiest hitter among potential NFL-caliber players. Remember that only something like 2% of D1 college players ever get signed to an NFL contract. Or, think of it this way: not every starter at schools like Southern Cal, Ohio State, Miami, UGA, Texas and Florida makes it to the NFL. The guy is a good football player, but when compared to the rest of the NFL-caliber players, he doesn't measure up. The different between a zero player and a 100 player isn't as great as you're thinking.

I am not suggesting that this is madden, I am here for the same reasons as everyone else. i love football and not arcade games. I still don't believe on anyones scale that there is such thing as a 0 or for that matter a 100. Unless of course we are talking Michael Jordan or Bob Uecker; lol.
I certainally agree that I don't want backups with ratings in the 60-80's range.
I am well aware of the talent level of any athlete who makes it into the NFL. Someone has to be the lowest rated player in any talent pool , I just think listed as a 4 yr veteran that person would no longer be getting looks and would have dropped off the radar screen.

Before the salary caps that exist , there were teams in the NFL with better backups than other teams starters. The Pittsburgh Steelers during the 70's had a bunch of potential hall of famers.

I can remember in high school watching a player named Paul Skansi .I told my friend at the time this kid is awesome , he is major college or pro material. He was so much better than the other kids he was playing against. I followed him as he played for the UW and on to the Seahawks, as great a high school and college player as Paul was he was just a medicore NFL WR. But my last comment , Paul Skansi was no 0.
