Port City moves to 2-0 on the year. My defense seems to start off slowly and then put the clamps on in the 2nd half. I'm still not happy with my offense. I can't run the ball well at all. Can't wait til my starting RB is back as my rookie is not getting it done. I may as well not run to the right side, as it sucks. Why oh why did I call a running play on 2 and 28? Penalties again hurt me in crucial situations. Gotta love my kicker as he went 4/4 with a long of 51 yards. Turnovers killed Utah. They were ripping me off big on the ground on first down. Good game Utah.

Nice win for the Catfish. The Rhode Island Express (Corey Lincoln and J.R. Sierra) lead the league in passing yards and receiving yards, respectively. Sierra needs to cut down on his drops, though. Four in only two games is unacceptable. A big division matchup against Morgantown is up next.

Good game Clay. I can't stop the run to save my life, I'm ranked 32nd against the run. 199yds a game given up...yay. I had one good drive, and still don't understand my team's logic. Down by 7, 2 mins to go, and I have all 3 TO's, yet I go for 4th and 10 on my own 20...LOL

How's this for an infuriating sequence. We're down 7-6, midway through the 4th on the Los Alamos 3:

2-3- LA03 (4Q: 07:12) B.J. Mueller ran inside the left guard for 3 yards and a TOUCHDOWN! Key block delivered by Will Sabin. PENALTY: Denver was called for Offensive Holding.

2-13- LA13 (4Q: 07:06) B.J. Mueller ran a draw inside the left guard for 4 yards. Tackled by DT Brent Holly. The ball was fumbled and recovered by LA DE Grant Franklin to the LA09.

I almost threw my computer out the window "watching" that occur. Thank god we won anyway.

            I blame poor coaching. :)

GG - I never felt comfortable till the very end.

My defense stepped up, holding S. Maryland to under 200 total yards and forced a couple turnovers. Always helps to get a division win.

Yeah, you dominated the first half, and then my team came out on fire in the 2nd, throwing completion after completion. To end the game, I think my QB was 1 for his last 12 or something close to that.

You're going to have a tough, tough team to beat, really good defense, and a stud RB.

hey now, 2-0 despite my qb throwing 2 picks again! Bruce O'Neill is the man! only 78 yards on 21 carries, but returned a punt 53 yards for a TD! 248 all purpose yards!

Just watched the game. I think I missed 2 FG's. I can't believe I held you under 150 yds Total and lost. Great defensive game though.

I couldn't believe how many passes your guy was stringing together for a stretch there. That Bryan Winzenried is a stud WR. He's going to do some damage this season.

I felt coming into the season that my Running game would be good. We get our starting RT back this week (he missed the first two games) so I should be able to mix it up a little more. Hard not to keep feeding the ground though. Clements is a beast. Moon is a great #2. And Artie Mayes (my FB) is the best player on my team.

The D has been a shock. They are certainly nothing special on paper. Just getting a good "chemistry" or something right now. Got that Tampa 2, bend don't break thing goin'.

Thanks! A couple of good things for us, but still no touchdowns. We'll get there. This is a very green team, but at least they played better than last week. More experience will mean better cohesion and fewer mistakes, I hope.

I haven't seen the game yet, but will watch tonight. I'm getting kind of addicted to Solevision!

Well inside the 40 yard max that we have set for field goal attempts. This game sux.
I think it's at least 41 yarder from the 28. You have to add 13 or 14 yards for the spot hold. I wish I could remember what the exact number is, but I'm a bit brain dead this morning.

Otherwise there's no way your coach punts there. I've never seen that before. Like, ever.

It's generally +17 yards for FGs. 7 for the hold, 10 for the end zone.

Why they don't count punt distance the same as field goal distance is beyond me, but... there it is. It's not a 28-yarder from the 28.
