Well, it was with all the backups in on both teams, but WR Clarence McIntyre sure looked good today. Maybe Boston finally has a legit receiver.

Guess not. PMing Brad is the safest way for him to get the message. Luckily nothing happened to your K yet, though he's still hurt.

We saw a few good things in our third preseason game. Some life out of two RBs -- rookie Michael Glenn and 2nd-year Gilbert Money. This Brent Patten guy is an awfully raw quarterback though. He's terrible at this point in his career.

On D, safety Butch McKinnon has been doing some serious step-upping in recent weeks.

Samwise was the tougher one anyway. Frodo's always whining.

Damn, sorry I missed that. I blame Tapatalk. It's easy to go through new postings while casually browsing from your phone and the posts get marked as read so I end up not actually seeing them sometimes.

Please, everyone, if you ever need an unplanned MIDWEEK, send me a PM so I know I'll see it. Thanks.

                        It's my fault.

I realize I can't sign anyone anyway. Apparently despite showing like $3,000,000 in CAP space, I can't even sign a $520,000 guy. Guess the Punter kicks for a few weeks.

I think you're good if you keep the K active, which you can, but keep him out of all positions on the depth chart.

MTC shows as 250k in cap space. You can finagle room by cap-outs or releases/trades.

I don't understand CAP OUT deals

You take the player's salary this year and reduce it to the minimum. Then you take the amount his salary was reduced an give it as Bonus on the deal. That allows the cap hit of his salary reduction to be spread out over the life of the contract.

The final result is that the player gets the same amount of money in total, costs you less this year, and more in subsequent years.

EDIT: The player will always take this deal because he gets more guaranteed money (Bonus).
