With nothing to play for in week 17, we will be sitting Duckworth and his sprained knee. Columbo will be inactive and sitting in a trash can filled with refuse.
Walt Johnson will make his second career start and we'll see what he's got. He could be our starter next year, which is a scary thought. Will probably be a battle between him and McBriar. A couple other youngsters will get a shot, including my pet OL project Shaun Norton.
Boone needs 185 yards to get him his 4000. Do I call it quits now, or forge on? I say forge ahead.
Might preserve Foley for this one, though. GL strick.
i need this game and havent won against utah in AT LEAST 6 seasons i think. or ill need some help as waco, memphis, port city and lake county could all end up in a 9-7 logjam too many tiebreakers to contemplate

Not forget Ohio or Puntxawney...
In this one I will go with Utah... Sorry phoenix I love the battle that we have been all the season but GO BEES!!!
Miami Sharks (BLB) * BLB Champions --> 2017, 2020.
As mentioned in the other thread, win and in, period. We've won the last 5 against Portland, but this is on their turf and they've knocked us out of the playoffs more times than I care to remember.
Our defense has been horrendous, but we're finally near-100% for starters. As long as we can move up to 'awful', we should be able to compensate on offense.
Because Rico. Last five games, 10 TDs, 2 INTs, well over 100 rating, nearly 300 yards per. Only a 2-3 record though, showing how abysmal the defense has been.
Record watch -
Rico has already set franchise marks for Passing Yards, TDs, 300 yard games, and should hold on for Yards Per Attempt (7.74 currently, 7.69 is the mark). Could hit the attempts record, but unlikely on completions (needs 39 and 42, respectively).
Tito Webb only needs 28 yards to hit 20,000 all-purpose in his career. First Bomber to do so, and only 10th player in OSFL history.
Donovan Mark needs 2 pancake blocks to reach 100, only the 4th player to do so. He will also start his 175th game, eclipsing Junior Bullock's Bomber record. He has missed 1 game in 11 seasons.

OH don't be so dramatic You beat me in 2023 and 2025.
It hasn't been that pretty outside of those two wins though.
2024: L 13-40 2024: L 7-29 2025: W 20-14 2025: L 10-42 2026: L 26-29 2026: L 7-30 2027: L 3-54 2027: L 9-33 2028: L 3-48
Playing the 2nd-string defense should be an advantage though, especially with Morrison out. That streak's bound to snap sometime!
Washington has owned this division for awile now, as well as this matchup. The teams this year couldn't be an more different. Washington throws the ball around and Portland Runs people over. Portland stops the pass and plays solid defense, Washington simply does enough on defense to allow their offense to win games... Biggest advantages for Portland this game are: abilty to run the ball, play good defense, and home field advantage. If Portland hold Washington under 20 pts they will make their first playoff apperance under Rutherford.
