Draft Class?

When do we get to start looking at the Draft Class? Does that not become available till after the Championship?

The draft pool isn't available to view until the start of Free Agency. SkyDog posted the following order of events on the FOFC boards a while ago. Perhaps he can chime in on whether this is still the case with FOF2007, but it used to be....

1. Stadium Renovation
2. Staff Hiring
3. Set Franchise Player/Import Draft/Set Ticket Prices
4. Free Agency--Part I (draft class appears here)
5. Draft
6. Free Agency--Part II
7. Training Camp
8. Preseason
9. Regular Season
10. Playoffs

Once stage 4 begins (Free Agency Part I), the game will ask me if I want to import a draft class or generate a random one. I'll generate a random one and it will be available to view when our FA period starts.

In Stage 3, you can send a player to play in the summer league.

In stage 4, you can interview draftees

With the stage 7 export, you can ask your players to bulk up or trim down.


One thing that will need to be decided is how we want to handle the draft. Most leagues start it before stage 4 is finished.

The draft is actually done mostly outside the game usually utilizing a league website utility for entering selections/preference lists. However, I think there are 1 or 2 leagues that have attempted "live" drafts, but it is usually too difficult to coordinate the schedule of 32 GM's.

So I assume we will conduct a round or two daily with GM's submitting there choices on a preference list. This is how its handled in Action Sports Football leagues
