Well, it appears that rumors of Nate Washington's demise were greatly exaggerated. What a game out of him, though that may just be his last hurrah as the tread is getting really thin on his tires.

We move a game behind for the division lead, and split the series. Our worst game of the season, yet we grab only our second win.
Looks like the defense is starting to click, as we move into the top ten for some of the key categories.

gg Isacco. Ok, Anchorage had nearly a quarter and a half of nonstop familiars on passing plays -- too much 5WR spread? I don't know, but it sunk any efforts at a comeback.

Roderick Sikkenga was brought back to earth this week, but he didn't need to be great. The Utah ground game was overpowering. Hell of a day for the pass rush, too.

i was always of the understanding that happens when you get down/ahead and become 1 dimensional.

I used to get them in the will shumway days when id be up and running out the clock. and against Utah when i was down late and wed be throwing on every down

Wow we lose by a point for the 2nd game running and our 3rd game this season, come on give me some luck. Our LB's are out and that is hurting us big time.

I figured the bubble would pop soon. Moe Spencer reminds us why he lost the job in the first place. Unfortunately, he gets at least one more start.

Yes. I think comeback is very easy for a team with big red bars players (QB/WR). In this case even if you start to pass more (and long) the % of success for a great WRs to take the pass are excellent, even if your opponent is in aggressive pass and double coverage.
But Anchorage is only an average team with a good QB (not great) and three average WRs. So when we are behind we are literally dead.
I think my gameplan is good but we need to be ahead at the end of the first half. In this case we have 50% to win. When I see we are behind after the first half (and against a good team like Phoenix or Utah) I know the percentage we win is 1%.

O.J. Sheldon was +8 in his rookie camp, so I do think he is pretty great. Drafted before you took over the team, and he'll unmask slowly, but he's a 70-rated QB in reality at minimum, in my opinion.

I think it may be worth looking at the formation usage in your more pass-heavy situations, to make sure they aren't too slanted towards any one position. The 5WR formation appeared 11 times, almost all of them in the last 25 or so minutes of the game, and accounting for a good number of the familiars.
