    Reminder on FA contract caps:


    you can offer:

    1 yr max $2mil
    2 yr max $4mil (total, meaning 2mil avg per year)

    Anything 3 years or more is open/fair game (meaning, you may offer as much or as little per year as you wish, as long as the deal is 3+ years long).

      Yeah, and the only reason I'm doing it is the past two seasons players have, for lack of a better term, jumped from a signing team back to a team that had originally signed them to an illegal offer.

      Basically, the player would sign the bad deal, which was voided and he would hit the street again. Another team would sign him to a new legal deal and all seemed fine and dandy. A few SIMs later, the player would show back up on the original team's roster.

            Okay. So this 1 year/$2Mil and the 2 year/$4Mil deals include the bonus as well? TOTAL amount not to exceed 2 or 4 MIL? These totals aren't just for base salary, correct?

                We may want to look into raising that to 2.5/5 next year and then 3/6 about 5 or 6 seasons after that to account for the increased cap room we accumulate as we move into future seasons. Then again, the new version of the game seems like it will need a lot fewer self imposed restrictions.
