Anybody good with animation? Why is it flashing as it is? First try, no manual!

What software? How was the lighting set up?

A combination of Gimp/Anim80r. . .lighting was set up where emissive was placed at 250 and emissive at a .-1

It almost looks as if the helmet and the "skin" aren't moving at the same time.

i.e., pic1, then hemlet turns (material stays at position 1), pic2, then material turns, pic 3, repeat...ad infinitum.
