Confused about re-signing players.

Does anything show up in their Injury and Transaction Log? If not, I don't think they ever re-signed.

Yeah it shows that I resigned them but has them listed as a UFA or no end contract at all. Are they testing the waters or something?

For example, TE Gerald Benson, shows him as UFA.
2006 - DivP - LVS - Resign, $830k, 1yr.

Hopefully everyone remembers next time the playoffs roll around, you must sign any renegotiated players to a deal of more than 1 year if you want to keep them from becoming UFA the next season.

Also, if a player is in his 3rd year or less at the end of a season and his contract is expiring, he will be an RFA to start the next season, so you will have every chance to sign that player before the draft. That being the case, don't be worried if he only wants a one year deal if you try to re-sign him before the current season ends. You have until after the draft the following year before he becomes fair game to everyone (if you still haven't signed him).
