  • 2033 FA 1.1 SIM Complete - Next SIM Saturday 03/08

Files due by 8:30am ET! Next SIM = FA 1.2, Saturday 03/08

    Reminder on FA contract caps:

    you can offer:

    1 yr max $3mil
2 yr max $6mil (total, meaning 3mil avg per year)

Anything 3 years or more is open/fair game (meaning, you may offer as much or as little per year as you wish, as long as the deal is 3+ years long).

    -----------------------------------------------------------
We may not need it, but sticking with the 1 or 2 yr structure for now, since it's a bit of an unknown. Upped the $$ thresholds to 3mil per.

For Shark, Combine Correlation is set at 70.

The money is out of control...going to even the odds quite a bit. I have a backup QB who threw 5 passes asking for $10m.

No wonder Nutah had to quit...no way he can roster stack and compete in a fair and balanced league.

Will we still see busts at 70% correlation?

So in football regardless of the contract offered, a team is essentially only on the hook for the bonus, right?

Also i have a player in his last year, but I want to extend him. Do I have to renegotiate his current contact to extend him?

The bonus is guaranteed. So if a player has a three year deal and you cut him after one, you are still on the hook for the bonus money in those last two years of the deal

Yes (as sawblade said), unless they're heading into years 2-4 in which you get restricted FA rights. Meaning, in free agency 1 only you can deal with them. They're indicated by the black mark next to their name (while unrestricted FAs have a white mark).

Wait until after Pre-season game 2 if you expect that heŽll drop... Or make it heŽll creep... Any buck that you can save will be valuable from now!

I'll translate: After the 2nd preseason game you will get updated ratings on your players. If his potential ratings go up, he's a creeper and the sky may be the limit. If his potential ratings go down, he's a dropper and who knows where he will land.

Keep in mind older players take large negative hits in current and potential ratings due to age, so when a star goes from 80/80 to 65/65, they are still a good player but age has caught up with them.

No Nuts, no Mike, hey maybe I'll get some players I want. ;)

Man, scrub players are so expensive now. Dakota was always heavily reliant on a revolving door of affinity scrubs to fill out our holes. WHAT DO?

                          ADAPT.

I vaguely remember this. So basically I shouldn't resign any old guys until I see how they look in preseason.

                            Too late...lol.
