Okay, the sportsmanship in the OSFL is slip sliding away, to borrow a line from one of my favorite songs by Paul Simon. I don't understand what's going on. I know that I've been involved in one or two bitch sessions in a forum or two myself, but I've always had someone who had my back and helped me pull it together. The occasional "let's make an ass of myself" is going to happen. This is a competition involving men, and the testosterone is pretty apparent.
But. . . I think we all need to be reminded of a few things. . a lot of leagues are struggling to fill their g.m. pool. The OSFL doesn't have that problem. A lot of leagues have faltered after just one season. The OSFL has survived that threat. But, I'm not sure we're going to get through the sophomore jinx. If we lose the commish, we start coming apart at the seams.
I'm not planning on leaving the OSFL just yet. I like the Phoenix Riders and I'd love to stick around and see where we go this season. But, I do sim in four other leagues and while all the other leagues have this kind of occasional flare up, it seems to be the status quo here.
So, I'm gonna do us all a favor and this time be the guy who has your backs. Reign it in, this isn't you. You're better than this.
