Another disastrous pick six, which was among six turnovers by our team, and we will miss the playoffs for the first time since 2028 in this injury-riddled season.
wow we did EVERYTHING we could to give this game away 3 ints, including our VERY 1ST PASS OF THE GAME, spotted Brooklyn 21 points, my starting rb averaged .64 ypc until overtime, lienning goes down early.
well this is interesting 4 9 win teams playing for 2 spots we all play each other. win and go in lose and go home. playoffs start now!
WTF.. this BKL team is annoying!
thats was a freaking shootout! 1000+ yards of combo O from both teams.
Sure they were without both of their starting receivers, but I thought "So what? Their backups are better than my starters." But then I watched those two backup receivers drop three consecutive passes in the end zone in the forth quarter, leaving us a chance to come back and snatch away a 1 point win. Holy carp.
Ok, so maybe it isn't too crazy that a couple of backups (one a rookie) would drop passes in key situations. Even three in a row. In the end zone. From just three yards out. Against one of the worst pass defenses in the league playing without it's top pass rusher. Ok, no that is pretty crazy. But even more crazy? Nate Reese.
I was >this close< to benching Reese last week in favor of going back to Ethan Lepis. I even uploaded an export where I did exactly that. If the Electric Balgaroo hadn't been on IR, he would have been under center. But then I went back and watched the solevision from last week's loss to Brooklyn and saw that Reese actually played fairly well for about the first three quarters of that game. That is, when my coach let him throw the ball at all. It was only until late in the game, when we were behind and Brooklyn was playing the pass that Reese started to struggle as they had him throwing deep over and over again.
So I changed my mind. I reuploaded and left him in. Then this week I watch him stink up the place for about the first three quarters of the game. And I'm thinking "Well, it's not like we were expected to with this anyway." It was only late in the game, when we were behind and Utah was playing pass heavy defense that Reese started to come alive, 3 TD passes, no interceptions, come from behind two minute drill to finish it. Reese gets some measure of revenge against the Bees for ending his miraculous 2031 season on a down note and Ethan Lepis is now demanding a trade.
