  • Week 14

The lone consolation for us this week is that we succeeded in signing ILB Ronnie Lee, who, once he's done coming off his knee surgery in a couple weeks or so, might give us 1-2 games of a stud LB.

6-6, 4 games to go: we need to win out.

GL jley! This week looks like a job for Cary Money @ QB.

This team is bordering on healthy, with the big exception being our tobacco loving NT. It's time for us to make our big stretch run and take this talented team into the playoffs.

Our defense isn't what it used to be, but despite playing backup QBs our offense has finally picked up the slack a little.

Tobacco is one hell of a drug.

Our running game stepped UP even though I forgot to slot my starting RB back in. Oops. Maybe it's time for my starter to get a taste of the bench.

Oh man, we done botched this playoff run of ours. Port City demolished us today, and Cash, who may or may not have been supposed to get the start, was sacked 5 times in his worst outing this year.

That's the second game in a row in which we were favorites, but got whooped. GG jley!

If you count the bowl game against Utah, Brian Douglas has now thrown 21 interceptions in his last 11 games. In his first full season as starter, he threw 16.

Douglas had a horrid return against Motor City, turning the ball over 4 times on the first 5 drives with 3 picks and a fumble inside our own 5. We were down early 13-0 and it wasn't looking good, but Artie Summers and Duckworth got us back in the game, with the defense sealing it with two pick sixes.

We'd be in the wild card if the season ended today, and we'll have to keep winning because the odds of both North Liberty and St. Paul (Both 11-2) faltering are low.

And damn, Douglas needs to get his head straight or I'll have to trot Cary Battle out there again!

                Good game Rando.

Both QB's struggled in this one but Camden's running game was strong with rookie RB Curtis Shea winning game MVP. Despite the loss, it was nice to see Keith Lighthiser bring one back to become the franchise leader in kick return TDs.

As bad as the season has been, these last two weeks could be considered victories. We played two top teams. Lost both games, but held each to low point totals and yards. Relatively speaking. We only lost by a combined 11 points. Not bad.
