I really like Tyrus McWilliams at 11, but wasn't sure it was good value for me. I play a 3-4 and could have used an upgrade at ILB, so drafting him would've meant moving somebody inside. I was ok with this, but wasn't sure adding a 4th very good LB would really help my defense that much.

Any thoughts from the vets?

I haven't really looked at your roster, but in general, I've found the 3-4 defense to be a devastatingly effective if you can have 4 very good linebackers and 3 competent DL's and you scheme it right. That being said, I don't think Tyrus will make a good inside linebacker. If one of your current LB's could have made the switch, I would have taken him at 11. As for me, I'm entertaining all offers for any of my current OLB's to make room for Tyrus.


Edit: I think he would make a good inside linebacker actually. I just don't think he will be as great as he could potentially be on the outside.

I was wondering when Sanders would go.. Top rated overall by the consensus, I didn't interview him, but he has all the measurables.

I interviewed him and didn't like what I saw. However, he should be a good run stopper.

Apparently, nobody liked what they saw in Sanders. But at 18, that was a good pick.

damn. Chances are I would have picked Lofton there anyways, but Tyrus was the best player available. One of my other LB's wouldve made the switch fine.

Yeah. I think taking a chance on Sanders at 18 is a good move. I just didn't like him enough with more sure things on the board at 14.

As far as DTs go, I liked Crawford more but he was way too raw for me to pick him at 1.3.

Well, I saw jzicc and Skyboxer on the boards a few minutes ago. I hope from this point forward that guys will put the autopick on even if they're going to just be away for a couple hours. Then again, with the 12 hour limit, we really shouldn't be complaining. I'm actually quite surprised we've made it this far today.

FWIW, I think the average MP FOF league only gets through the 1st round on the 1st day and then speeds up as the later rounds progress. I still think we can get a round done today if things start picking up.
