I vote to have a clock run from 9am-10/11pm EST each day. How ever far you get in that timeframe...you get. If the notification works...email, text....you should never miss a pick.

I suggest we do just one round a day. Also, we can still have FA stages during the draft, if we do them less than 3 at a time.
Draft round 1, FA stage 5
Draft round 2, FA stage 6
Draft round 3, FA stage 7
Draft round 4, FA stage 8
Draft round 5, FA stage 9
Draft round 6, FA stage 10
Draft round 7.
Then FA stages 11-12 after the draft is completed.
Just my suggestion.
Another possible suggestion is to do 1 round, and leave the draft going after that untimed until the following day. Would very likely still only take 5 days, but people who don't have internet connections like me wouldn't be punished because of our work.GM of the South Maryland Maulers 2034-2040

Also for us in Hawaii that means it starts at 3am on work days which means I have to be up at random times during the night to make picks and stuff if we do 9am EST:Charlotte Sentinels: :GM::Circa 2030:

Draft Setup
I think the way you have changed it is perfect but two additions I would make are:
After rounds let teams draft untimed each day
day
Start time 6 am pt is good
Better chat draft option, i miss the in draft oneHead Coach and GM of Portland Phantoms

Siming during ths draft allows you to adjust your intsrviews for later rounds
Which fits better with the reality... we only have 12 interviews so...could be better to use them all over the draft...Miami Sharks (BLB)
* BLB Champions --> 2017, 2020.
Ohio River Sharks (OSFL)

- We used to have untimed draft during the night. There were nights with 0 picks, and nights with 12. I'd prefer to stick to a more predictable schedule so GMs can know when they have to check in and exactly what they have to prepare for.<br>
- Regarding start times, that's a good point about Hawaii (-6 from EST). England is +5 on EST. Let's try to find some middle ground. How about 11 AM to 11 PM EST?<br>
- Good call on having sims during the draft.<br>
- I'm OK both with "Round per day" (10 days of drafting) and "Consolidate 4/5 and 6/7" (8 days of drafting).<br>
- No more slow roll. That's a lot of extra days of asking GMs to check in (whether or not progress is being made). Better I think just to say "Wait until ___ for the draft to start, and when it kicks off, it kicks off."<br>
- In lieu of a slow roll, we'll split Round 1 into four days of exactly 8 picks each day. If you can't be around, an 8-man queue should allow everyone reasonable precision over their #1 picks.
The draft is complete (sort of), and I'll circle back after lunch (around 6-7PM EST) to post the final free agency sim.Last edited by Aston; 10-03-2014, 04:29 PM.Float likeabutterflysting likeabee.
