In Field Goal range in 3rd down we decided to pass instead to run and kick the winner... Interception and our Safeties gave up big plays until the field goal of Boston. .

Congrats Nutah after this game our carencies were exposed... Great W

Ohio will pick a Safety in the first round and a Tackle in the 2nd!

Smith is 1 Sack away of the all time OSFL record with 3 games left!

gg Shark! We didn't win this one on defense for a change. Surprising life out of the offense! I guess that's what happens when you can get a ground game going.

The AC West and NC East have a lot of wins between them this year. I think Boston's good for the playoffs, which is exciting. A good way for Sikkenga to go out.

Well, these last two losses pretty much took us out of the playoff hunt. Both of them we had the lead and lost it. However, if you look closer into the two games, there's no way we should have even been close.

Bare with me here. I have to put this down just so it's out of my brain.

Last two games total TD's: Five
TD's scored by the offense: one
TD's scored by the defense: four
Total offensive yards gained: 268. (yes, that's the total for two games)
            3rd down conversions: 1/21

Our leading scorer for these last two games has been CB Shannon Fulton. He has three pick sixes for a total of 224 yards. He is now four interceptions from the single season record of 13 that he tied in 2033. Also three TD's from his record of seven set that same year.

What does all this mean? It means our offense sucks right now and we are relying way to heavily on the defense to win games...which it's almost done, twice now.

Well, we're incredibly close to a Wild Card spot being locked up. Looks like it may come down to the wire though.

Pearl Harbor incredibly lose on a last second 50 yd ditch to the end zone to blow another season down the tubes
We came back in the 2nd half only to blow it with 4 seconds left
                i'm still in disbelief
perennial losers since the first season I started here and the team made it to the semis

I will admit I was worried about putting Frodo out there on the same field as Fulton. Sure enough the little runt did throw another pick 6 (his 8th on the year) and fumbled the ball away once for good measure. But we managed to reign our QB's turnover tendencies in the 2nd half and come up with a much needed win.

Our playoff hopes are still alive, but honestly not great. We are going to need to finish with a better record than Morgantown to get that last wild card spot. The tie breakers are stacked against us. Unfortunately the remaining schedule seem to favor the Mermen.

In individual player notes, Curtis Shae went over 2,000 yards this week becoming just the 3rd player to do so (Cris Garner (2017) and Burt Newman (2017, 2020, 2021)). With 2,067 yards already behind him Shae is only 136 away from the single season mark and averaging 159 per game. Barring an injury next week, this record looks to be in the bag.

Shae is also within striking distance of two other single season yardage records. He is only 361 yards from scrimmage away from Broderick Carter's record set just last season. This is less than two games worth at his current pace.

More impressively he is only 713 yards away of Bruce O'Neil's single season All Purpose Yards record. It's the oldest individual record still on the OSFL record books. In fact it is the oldest possible single season record having been set in the league's first year of existence. In the 29 seasons since then no player has even gotten within 600 yards of it.

And with Shae's help there's one last record we seem almost certain to break, team single season rushing yards. We broke our own record here back in 2033, besting the old mark by a mere 32 yards. Then in 2034 we broke that record by a more impressive 188 yards. We are currently less than 150 yards from breaking it again with three games left to play and averaging over 200 yards per game. I'd have to say that one is rather safely in the bag as well.

Now watch Shae break his leg returning the opening kickoff tomorrow.
