        We aren't in the offseason, but there's new backloading stuff in the game so Ben has removed the 10% rule until we can test the new financials.

        I suggest we do the same this offseason, but by then I expect we'll know if they new rules in-game work or not.

          Done.

          My game looked horrible again. Replaced all the bitmaps I had dloaded and it's pretty again. Can't believe how bad the stock game looks.

            Is that an experimental measure so they can test out the limits of the engine in a MP setting?

            Hopefully we'll know a little more about it soon. I'll announce what we're doing with the rule when we advance to the offseason. Ideally, the game simply renders it so it doesn't matter if the rule is there or not.

                "Because this is going to be very difficult to test apart from live league action, I'm removing the 10% rule effective immediately. We can always put it back in place if we find problems. "

                So, yes. Rule is being removed in order to determine if it's needed anymore.

                      It's really up to you. The bitmaps I have used can be unzipped from this file...

                      http://www.simgamingnetwork.com/blb/images/bitmaps.zip

                      Here are the instructions from a user on FOF Central...it really isn't that hard.

                      1. download and install the free program Resource Hacker;

                      2. run the Resource Hacker program with FOF closed;

                      3. in Resource Hacker, use the File menu to open "Front Office Football Seven.exe" from C:\Program Files (x86)\Solecismic Software\Front Office Football Seven (assuming you installed to the default directory);

                      4. Resource Hacker will show a directory, click the plus sign next to "Bitmap" to expand the list;

                      5. the numbers correspond to the different graphics in the game (for example, 331 is the calendar, 348 is the menu bar, etc); most people use these numbers in their replacement files; if the replacement file is not numbered, you have to go down the list to find the one you want to replace);

                      6. from the list of bitmaps, click the number of the image you want to replace (a preview will show) and chose "Replace Bitmap" from the Action menu;

                      7. click "Open file with new bitmap" and select your replacement image from wherever you saved it, then click "Replace" on the bottom right and you will see the old image get replaced by the new image;

                      8. **Important** once you are finished replacing bitmaps, save the modified file to your desktop or somewhere else (you can't save directly back to the program folder, you will get an error) and close Resource Hacker;

                      9. for safety sake, rename your original "Front Office Football Seven.exe" and leave it in the program directory, if anything goes wrong you can delete the modified file and go back to the original;

                      10. move the modified "Front Office Football Seven.exe" file from the desktop or wherever you saved it to the program directory (again C:\Program Files (x86)\Solecismic Software\Front Office Football Seven); Windows will ask you to confirm that it's ok to move the file there, click yes;

                      11. open FOF and you will see all the new graphics mods, no need to relicense or anything.

                      note: the replacement images have to be .bmp files, it won't work with .jpg or .png etc.; if your image file is something other than .bmp, open it with Windows Paint and save it as .bmp.

                        What a screenshot of my game looks like...

                        Spoiler

                        And this is the thread with all the user submitted bitmap mods. Just save them to your computer and replace the corresponding bitmap number when you run Resource Hacker.
