    Ouch -- worst draft ever here

    #1 = 29/51
    #2 = 33/53
    #3 = 17/59

    I'm sure they will all take major jumps in Training camp lol

  • #2
    Those are actually pretty good numbers pre camp. . .they are rookies after all. . .

    For Phoenix, the two guards both land in the roster rated higher than the star-ters and the backups at the position. . .actual rating, not potential. . .which means the two picks were huge successes for Phoenix and I can't wait for training camp and preseason. Both are intelligent players with average to high volatility so I'm confident I drafted two starters this season. . .

    Very happy with the first and second round. .

    and Cotton. . .I know Hugh Alloy is gone -- 8-[ -- but get very familiar with the Arizona Nomad, the former Ace turned Rider, Marc "The Spot" Scovill! He will burn the outside of opposing defenses and can turn the flats into his own little salt flat proving ground. ..

      The spot? :P He certainly has the skill to produce consistent bursts of yardage, but don't expect him to break one for much more than 20-30 yards on occasion. He was a good back, but I was hoping to get a serious full time guy in the draft. I may have him, but I think I'll probably go for one more later for good measure.

        The sad thing is that my two first picks will probably still start at DE.... :cry:

        I had done two MP drafts previously and it seemed like the following benchmarks are reasonably accurate:

        1st round 42/ 75- 65 ( lower as round progresses)
        2nd Round 40/60
        3rd round 35/55
        4th round 30/50

        What have other people seen

          1.2 QB Jamie Scoggins 11/67
          1.6 CB Donnell Burke 67/69
          3.2 WR Steve Stargell 37/60

          Works for me. I wasn't expecting Scoggins to make an immediate impact, but his potential is good. Burke will start from day one. Good chance Stargell will too.

            Auto Draft in the 3rd round kicked my ass. I had at least 12 picks in between my 2nd and 3rd round. You guys picked every last one of them and boy did i suffer. Anyway.

            1st overall, Myron Allen-49/72
            2.2-Bennie Saul-21/57
            2.3-Lincoln Maltman-38/67
            3.1-Patrick Becher-6/40
            3.3-Bill Ogbogu-12/32

            I feel like the gotdamn Browns today.

              Oh, it's going to kill me being at work all day now, anyone see what my 3 picks are? Blaine Crawford, Benjamin Lincoln, and Byron "I doubt it" Douthett.

                  I didn't understand the OGBOGU pick -- I just assumed you liked the name

                    Crawford= 41/86
                    Douthett= 22/50
                    Lincoln= 27/36

                    according to my scout.

                    I think Lincoln is a decent candidate for a jump though.

                      Sadly, Lincoln is a huge upgrade for my WR's..LOL

                      Douthett gives me what I already had on the DE position, potential and Crawford is raw, but should be really, really good.

                      Thanks!!!

                        Nah he was about a 6th rounder in my opinion. But two things happened, all of my 3rd/4th round picks were chosen and it was on auto picks.

                        I had mix of OT/DT/WR....I really didn't think they would ALL get chosen since most of them weren't considered "top picks." Rookie GM mistake. I will not make the same mistake next year.

                        Edit: Now that I think about it, a third thing happened. You guys started picking so fast. We were 2.5 for soooooo long before I left for work. I came back and were damn near halfway through the 3rd. Again rookie GM mistake.

                          Don't worry, I know the feeling about WR. Maltman will be a #1 or #2 for us too. He's already rated better than all of my WR and definitely has a lot of potential. I'm looking forward to seeing his performance with whoever our starting QB will be...

                            Ouch! Even rated #2 at the position on the board my scout had Kaplan as very under rated. He had great combine numbers too. I'm gonna need him to boom at some point. Our second round was ok, but our third looks to be real nice.

                            QB Desmond Kaplan - 19/38
                            FL Henry Rose - 27/40
                            MLB Zach Findley - 19/61
