Roster limit = 60 ?

Do we have to have 60 to start training camp? I've been in other leagues that had over 80 prior to exhibition games...

1. At no time should a team's roster contain more than 70 players under contract. Any violation of this limit will result in league mandated cuts and a possible loss of draft pick(s) at the discretion of the League Office.

Don't quote me on this, but I don't think there's a hard limit of 60 players during camp. After camp, obviously, you need to trim down to 53. But if you want to carry 60+ during camp, I think you can. I'll seek confirmation on this matter though....

If I have to trim your roster down, I'd just dump someone you'd probably cut eventually anyway. But in all honesty, it's kind of ridiculous to keep 70+ players around and it borders on hoarding to gather up a bunch of players while you see which, if any, of them pan out. Cutting 17 players during camp should be enough.

Actually, I'm pretty sure you can take 70 into training camp, not 69. And I know for a fact that you can carry as few as 44 on the active list in preseason and the regular season (although it's not really a good idea).

Well yeah, I guess 46-70 would be the limits for training camp. But for the 44 number, I figured I'd set it at 46 because nobody should be carrying less than that. Like you said, it's not a good idea.
