Ira's a new player to the game, as many of us were when we first arrived. He'll be taking over a pretty storied Las Vegas franchise coming off a brutal recent history, going 3-13, 2-14, and 7-9 in the last three seasons.

The Outlaws were saddled with a $27M cap penalty this year, almost all of which is coming off the books for the offseason. A fresh new start in a competitive NC West!

Let's give him a warm welcome everybody.

Question: When it comes time to do things like coach hirings, free agency, & draft. How does that work? Just curious.

Coach hirings -- you have one stage to do this in game. You extend the coaches with 1 year left on their deal (if you want to), and then enter a set of preferences for staff hiring, indicating what skills you want in your coaches, and how badly you want to fire/keep each one.

The game engine runs the staff draft and takes care of that.

The draft is handled through an online utility. It runs start to finish somewhere in the neighborhood of a week and a half. You'll have the chance to chat in the draft room and make picks live, or set a priority queue and let the utility handle it for you.

OK Thanks for info on how things kinda work. Also wow hearing I am in a tough division sounds like I will be going against the 3 top dogs. If that is the case it's Miller time! Oppps I meant it's Celler time. lol.

On another note, I was going to load me a avatar but don't see any button for avatar under UserCP. Have they quit allowing avatars for new members?

Right now, you have to request to join the OSFL Members group before being able to set an avatar (I think). You can do that from the control panel here:

I chose to join NSFA the only other 2 was BLB & BBA I hope NSFA is now OSFL fingers crossed.
