When you press recommend, who is making the decisions ? The coach ?

It is the AI, whether you want to consider that the coach or not. There is no clear evidence that the coach changes the effectiveness of the recommend button. Also, the recommend button in this version is much better than previous years and does a good job of running a team (still not quite as good as a skilled human.) -
