Nice first game for Tyrus. I also liked what I saw out of Rusty. Looks like the big back is going to win the starting job this year. Too bad, two of my guys are being wusses with turf toe.

Tyrus Walters is a beast, he scares the crap out of me.

I can already tell this season will be better with Lawrence Sanderson at the helm, 7/8 for 116 yards and no INTs compared to Malcolm Coles, 10/22 for 129 yards and no INTs.

Richardson didn't do much, but he only had 13 touches, I'm going to have to give him a few more touches next game and then only have him play a quarter or so for the next two games to keep him healthy.

Even though it was a exhibition game, very exciting game. I came out on the wrong end of it, lost a player for two weeks, and had like 10 penalties, but it is very exciting to see some OSFL action for the Phantoms again!

Q.) What is the significance of the number seven in relation to the Showboats game this week?

A.) The number of points scored by the Showboats
B.) The number of turnovers committed by the Showboats
C.) The number of minutes I watched the game before shutting it off in disgust
          D.) All of the above

Our offense struggled, but the defense looked pretty good. We need to get better production from the offense. They were awful to watch.

I think there is a significant difference since the patch in how a gameplan unfolds. I reused one of my standard gameplans from last year and it was far more conservation than it played last year.

                Back to the drawing board.

Glad to come out injury free.

Tyrus did look pretty decent out there. However, our pass defense seemed a bit lacking. Sanderson would've passed for like 400 if it hadn't an exhibition.

The 6.0e patch has made game planning quite different and much more intuitive. You're probably going to get much more of a sense that your team is doing what you want it to do this season. I would strongly suggest fiddling around in single player mode with different game plan ideas and different skill sets before we get to the preseason, even.
Perhaps one day, the young grasshoppers will learn to listen to the wisened old FOF veteran.

Nice opening win during the preseason for the young Riders. Third string quarterback looked very good and the running back by committee seemed good.

                        Nice game S. Maryland. . .

Hey, we actually won a preseason game 16-10 in OT. Already one more win than we had last year in preseason.

Scoggins looked pretty solid in there, going 8/11, completing his last 8 passes before being taken out. Defense also played solid. Just have to cut down on the sacks allowed and fumbles, and I'll be happy with this team.

What is our current schedule? I'm so lost now, and missed like the last 3 sims. I thought it was Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday? I know I missed last Friday and Sunday due to being away, but am I correct on the sim schedule?

                              Sunday-Tuesday-Thursday-Friday is correct.

However, people have been clamoring for an accelerated preseason schedule. So I think starting tonight, we'll be doing a sim a night until the preseason is complete.
