Offensive Gameplan Question

When installing an offensive gameplan, is it best to look at,
A) Running from formation
B) Directional running

I'm just not sure which one of these areas to put more emphasis on.

I'd say that formation is most important. You want the right personnel on the field to block for you. In the previous version of the game runs to the outside were more productive but that has been eliminated in the current game.
