It was a pretty sloppy game for Morgantown though. Almost gave the game away late but held on. My #1 draft pick, DE Wesley Giles finished with 2 tackles and a sack. Nice first day on the job..
Statline for #1 overall, (QB) Myron Allen:

We destroyed Chicago 40-14. We scored on all 6 offensive drives in the first half. A couple fooish penalties on Chicago's part helped us in that first half as well. We'll take it. Can't wait for Holzberger to come back. Galloway is really going to have fun with this offense we have assembled. =D>

Oh, Galloway wins his first POTW award as well. Very nice.

Squeaked out a two point win against Yuma, despite running 37 more plays on offense. But, a win is a win.

We continue what was a trend last year, winning the turnover battle. Causing 4 TO's and not having any will usually lead to a win.

          Aye, St. Paul,

Weren't you guys like 2 of our 3 wins last year...

Jistic? You are putting my hometown's name to shame. Stop it now. Well, at least until you meet North Liberty this year.

W00T! Port City pulls out its first win of the season 17-10 over New Orleans. It was ugly early but my offense and defense got things going in the 2nd half.

                WE SHOOK UP THE WORLD!

My D (especially my DT Eddie Siragusa) did a great job of pressuring Lincoln and getting stops.

                GG Columbus.

We drop a tough one in week one, 19-17 thanks to the leg of Corwin Thomas, who hit from 52, 49 and 42, as well as a 34 yard chip shot.

We put ourselves in position to take away the win, but 4 turnovers to none is hard to overcome as well, and we just couldn't make it happen.

We'll host Washington next week, but week 9 is now marked on our calendars as payback week for Pearl Harbor. We think you got away with one this week, Defenders.

Huge win! I always look for the Columbus score. The Steam is headed for Gainsville in week 2.

damn injuries hit me hard this week. starting center is nicked up as well as my starting left tackle. Rookie report? 1st round pick Joe Gerhardt had 3 catches for 14 yards and my 2nd round pick, TE Irv Furnas, playing injured, had 1 catch for 5 yards, but he made it count, it was for a TD!

The San Francisco Bayhawks traveled to play the defending champions; the Las Vegas Outlaws and got blown out by the final score of 30-3. It wasn't much of a game and the Bayhawks have a long way to go. The Bayhawks (0-1) host the Portland Phantoms (0-1) next week. The Bayhawks need to bounce back with a win!

Yeah, congrats on the win. We did some things well, and I like the signs of maturation in Ellis and the WR's, but we didn't make plays when it mattered and you clawed your way back for the victory even after that redzone fumble. Tough loss to start the season.

Three touchdowns in :58. Talk about special teams play. GG, smooth.
Yeah. That pretty much sucked. Good game.

Wow. What horrible clock management to end the game.

Down by 3, 4th and 5 at Washington's 49 with 20 seconds left and we punt. Ummmmm okay #-o
