  • SIM COMPLETE - WEEK 2

    http://osfl.oldredboat.com/exports/l...t_06_14_07.zip

Next sim is tomorrow night - Midweek 3. It'll run a little late as I'll be at the Phillies game. :)

If my team doesn't play better this week than it did during last week's debacle, I'll be back to this thread shortly to berate my players.

        Now that's more like it!

Big game by my OLB Chris Harris. 8 tackles, 2 assists, 1.5 sacks, 2 hurries, a knockdown, and a 70 yard INT return for a TD.

Some extremely untimely turnovers and penalties did us in. Way to squeak one out there, Utah.

I'm not sure what to say. I'm happy we hung in there, but I'm pissed with the outcome.

3rd and 1 at my opponent's 9, in the first quarter, with my starting RB's percentage at 95%, and my 3rd stringer gets his first carry of the season? How stupid is that? We settle for 3.

Under 3 minutes left, we complete a 49 yard pass to the 14, but Watanabe fumbles, Columbus recovers. That was the game.

Good game, Skydog. Good luck to you the rest of the way. I took Sierra's poor performance last week for granted, and he showed up this week.

Wow, my team was just awful on third down.

I need to work on my gameplan some more, I don't rush nearly enough as I should.

              GG, Julio.

Good game Las Vegas. We pretty much controlled the 2nd half, but the INT in the endzone killed us.

Dunno. 4 penalties is stellar for most teams. And you were only -1 in the turnover category. I wouldn't blame your loss on that.

You had 268 yards of offense in the first half and 90 in the second, including a pair of three and outs in the 4th. After those you had the ball at your own 43 with two minutes left and took 8 plays to go 12 yards and gave the ball over on downs.

The only squeaking I heard was your offense in the second half. You beat the crap out of me in the first half, then seemed to run out of gas. Weird one. My offense was pretty ineffective, but either you got tired or my defense just got stronger as the game went on. Probably a little of both.

Tough one. I'll take it, but man... I thought for sure you had me on that last drive.

GG Port City....PC has the best run defense in the league imo. I'm just happy my defense was able to match that and help us pull out the win

The San Francisco Bayhawks hosted the Portland Phantoms and got beat by the final score of 23-6. The defense kept us in the game, but our offense looked pathetic once again. Our QB got sacked 8 times and we turned the ball over 3 times. Bayhawks G D.J. Duncan suffered a serious knee injury and will undergo reconstructive knee surgery. Bayhawks T Vernon McCareins broke his fibula and will be out for a couple of months. This doesn't help our struggling offense. We need to find a way to get more production from our offense or we are in for a long season. We travel to play the St. Paul Bandits (1-1) next week and desperately need a win!

If I recall, I think our turnovers were deep in your end. A fumbled punt, and Cote fumbled a run play as well. And I believe you scored on both. And then I remember a huge play where we had a 1st down, and it got called back on a holding call at a critical point in the game. But yeah, our offense did come to a screeching halt in the 2nd half, no question. It was just the timing of the turnovers and penalties that really discouraged me. Yeah, your defense did a great job on that last drive. Oh well, we covered the spread.

Welcome to the season Kenneth Clements. 5 TDs in a sloppy, fumble filled blowout against Boston.

You know, I don't get this game. I use the same exact gameplan from last week and my stud rb runs the ball 5 times the whole freaking game! My defense continues to give up the big play despite having 2 of the best corners and 2 of the best safeties in the game. They again help us get down late and played better in the 2nd half. My offense gave me next to nothing as my 14 year vet QB had his typical Jeckyll and Hyde routine. He was awful. My 2nd round pick TE only had the ball thrown his way 1 time. Sigh...maybe next week. I'm definitely doing some tweaking. GG Aaron.

I'm thoroughly disgusted with my team.

That might have been the worst game in OSFL history, but somehow we won 13-7 in OT. I was absolutely sure that game was going to end in a tie.
