OK here is another question for you all. The 2037 I switched a safety to free free safety his scouted rating dropped like 1 or 2 points I forget for sure. Anyways yesterday Dutch drafted a S that I read where garison said he would be switched to a CB. I am wanting to draft a G maybe 2 of them in draft, but to me the good G's are kinda thin. So I might draft a T and convert him to G. same for C. On average how much does a player drop on his scouted rating and bars when you do this? Also I noticed the red experience bar which I figure plays into this some what say a T that has 5 and it says G 5 also but C3 I figure as a G he would be maybe a hair less playing it. However as a C will his bars drop a lot?

A switch from SS to FS or FS to SS shouldn't involve any drop in FUTURE ratings.
What can drop is CURRENT ratings and those are based on position experience (the red you mentioned). If the SS isn't fully developed as a FS you will lose some points.
If your guy dropped one or two points then he was almost entirely developed at FS before you moved him.
Or, it was just normal ratings fluctuation.
As far as moving from S to CB, FB to TE, etc. it's all based on weight.
I don't think anyone ever mad ea chart, but for S to CB you want to be as close to 190 lbs as you can be. At 195 lbs, a S will transfer about 95% of his ratings to CB.
Sometimes moving a CB to S they will gain ratings. But if you move them back to CB they'll "lose" those previously gained ratings.

Wow, that's awesome. I think you guys pretty much covered it. A few other things:
** If you are ever unsure, open up a single player game and sign a rookie at the position with the same weight, and try to convert him. The "% change" you are quoted will be exactly the same message you get for any rookie at that weight.
** There's some randomness in the actual conversion, though. I think.
** Past their rookie year, it can get harder to convert.
** If you change weights, the new weight shows up after camp. I THINK you have to wait until after camp if you want to take advantage of switching at a higher %, but I'm not positive.Float likeabutterflysting likeabee.

I changed the position of our start left tackle when I drafted him after Aston and others told me not to. :)
It worked out well enough.

Moving him away from LT wasn't going to hurt his ratings! It's just that he won't be a LT now, and you can't move him back to LT. (You can try, but the % loss is probably going to be steep) That's probably not really a problem if you don't need him to play there.
I think the thinking we had at the time was, if you want to lock up this stud for 10 seasons, you'd rather have him at LT than elsewhere on the line, right? But I think you also said you had some LTs already.Float likeabutterflysting likeabee.
