  • Miscellaneous OSFL Observations

As we come to the mid-point of the season, I was perusing the 2007 Statistics and just wanted to share these (mostly uninteresting) observations:
    • QB Dusty Galloway has thrown 11 TD vs only 1 INT :)
QB Daryl Lyle has thrown 5 TD vs 10 INT :(
QB Glen Hecht has completed 17 of 18 RZ passes (94.4%) :)
QB Ellis Austin has completed 8 of 8 RZ passes :o
RB Randy Richardson has a YPC AVE of 3.23 overall. In the RZ he manages 3.40 YPC. One of only two backs (Tito Ballard 3.38/3.42 is the other) to have a better YPC in the RZ than overall. :-k
He also has a league leading 10 Fumbles ](*,)
Although RB Phillip Lincoln has 600+ yards (3.97 ave), he has yet to convert a 3rd Down run. #-o
Anchorage's R.J. Peterson leads the league with 11 Sacks to go along with his 10 Hurries and 12 QB Knock-downs. =D>
The Port City Steam have 3 rushing plays to the left and 4 rushing plays to the right out of 149 runs. :-s
They also own the leagues stingiest Run D, allowing a miserly 2.59 ypc. \:D/
The Chicago Reapers O-Line has only allowed 4 Sacks so far this season. :D
Conversely, the San Francisco Bayhawks have allowed 28 Sacks.

      Woohoo. :D

We'll see how long that lasts. He has been great so far though.

R.J. Peterson is a beast and should be Defensive POY, but he also benefits playing alongside Tapp, Ford and Garrison. Just look at this past game when we were forced to play a 3-4. We weren't able to get to the QB like we want.

he Port City Steam have 3 rushing plays to the left and 4 rushing plays to the right out of 149 runs
I switched it up and tried running outside and inside my tackles and got "no gain" or "loss of 2".

I thought it'd be fun to revisit these numbers after some more games. The previous stat is listed in ITALICS for comparison:

QB Dusty Galloway has thrown 11 TD vs only 1 INT
GALLOWAY now has 23 TD vs 9 INT in 14 games. COREY LINCOLN leads the league with 34 TD (with 17 INT) and, through 14 games, Martin Cothran and Carl Reese share the low of 7 INTS.

QB Daryl Lyle has thrown 5 TD vs 10 INT
Lyle has grown his stats to 12 TD vs 15 INT. Nick Pipkin leads the league with 22 INT

QB Glen Hecht has completed 17 of 18 RZ passes (94.4%)
Hecht is now 23 of 30 in the RZ (76.7%)

QB Ellis Austin has completed 8 of 8 RZ passes
Denver’s tandem of QB’s have combined for 30 of 33 (90.9%) in the RZ

RB Randy Richardson has a YPC AVE of 3.23 overall. In the RZ he manages 3.40 YPC. One of only two backs (Tito Ballard 3.38/3.42 is the other) to have a better YPC in the RZ than overall.
He also has a league leading 10 Fumbles

RICHARDS has raised his total fumbles to 18.

Although RB Phillip Lincoln has 600+ yards (3.97 ave), he has yet to convert a 3rd Down run.
LINCOLN has improved to 1321 yards (4.23 ave) and FIVE 3rd Down conversions in 27 attempts for a league low 18.5%

Anchorage's R.J. Peterson leads the league with 11 Sacks to go along with his 10 Hurries and 12 QB Knock-downs.
PETERSON now claims 24 Sacks, 26 Hurries and 31 Knock-downs.

The Chicago Reapers O-Line has only allowed 4 Sacks so far this season.
Conversely, the San Francisco Bayhawks have allowed 28 Sacks.

MEMPHIS currently holds the league low of 17 Sacks allowed. S.F. (63 Sacks allowed) has opted to save money by not hiring an O-Line this season.

My starting QB, Herman Alabaso is 3rd in the league in QB rating at 97. His TD/INT ratio is 15/3.

But, his numbers are misleading, as he only has a 54.9 completion percentage, has seven fumbles in 10 starts, and gets sacked all the time because he can't sense the rush at all.

I knew my O-line was good, but not that good. Good work, Wessin.

It's pretty sad when the defense knows I have to run on almost every 3rd down situation because Kenny "I suck at everything related to football" Gaylor can't get it done.
