7.22 K Greg Winslett: 35/49 PSWK2: 29/47 (-6/-2)Our kicking situation isn't what we would like, so we took a chance in the 7th. Winslett was one of two kickers we looked at and he looked like he would have the better upside. Upon seeing his initial bars and ratings, I'm a little disappointed. Nothing close to what his combines showed us. He may or may not make the team. He'll really have to improve to keep a roster spot. Showed some promise. We'll give him a crack at the FG duties in preseason and see what happens.

I don't even do player tracking!

Preseason is a time for me to manage the roster and try to make sure my developed starters are reasonably low rust, while my backups are the ones who get developed and exposed to injury instead.

I heard it through the grapevine your punter used to be named Bruce, and is now going by Caitlyn... and shaved his legs. That made them more aerodynamic and improved his skills.

Well, I have just entered my first ever game plan that I made without using recommend. Can't be any worse of a game plan than what the recommend has been doing for me. Now hoping that some avg RB or WR get cut soon. I feel good defensively speaking just need a scoring threat, or better yet players to get me a 1st down. Really wish I had of been able to of drafted Grim, had I gotten him be doing a lot of ground & pound. Then he would of been a Earl Cambell and had too short of a career.

Well our Starters are on the field for the first time this season! Canīt wait to see how the life with Durden will be!!! One last shot to the Championship! Many veterans in their contract years! Is going to be really hard to keep all of them under the cap! Hopefully Will Smith will break soon the All-time record Sacks in Ohio!! Tease is waiting impatient in the side-line his moment!

This is why I hate the preseason.

What did Rob and I learn here? That our backups playing against backups and people who are about the be cut are really good? Or are our backups and backup backups on defense really bad? Is my pass rush better than his OL? Is my OL better than his pass rush?

All questions I can potentially answer with a long enough look at this roster and my own, possibly, maybe. I can't see his depth charts and he not mine. So while I can see who made plays on defense, I'll never know who was out there who didn't make plays.

While this is also true during the regular season at least there we have 80% assurance the best players are always at their positions. I know my pass rush is losing out to his All World Tackle. I know my RBs are getting killed by my OL. I know my QB is truly out of this world.

But I can't know that in game 4 of the preseason where on each play dice rolls determine that 50% of the players are in flux. 60%? 90%? Depends on the setting, obviously.

Preseason in mp FOF setting is mental masturbation in which we sit and imagine we're seeing things when in fact we can learn little to nothing. It's a time to shake off rust, gain experience on the field, and hope to hell your stars don't start quit smoking tobacco.

We spent a week on it. An entire week of our lives given over to absolute futility and I myself would love to see it cut down. You may not, and that's fine, but I consider this a dead week, a time to not worry if my sim gets in, a time to rest and relax while waiting for the true test to begin. The preseason is a crowd warmer, a distraction, a time to wet your appetite while you wait for the real stars to show up. The lights dim, the cameras roll, please hold your applause, the show is about to begin.
