The Portland Phantoms host the Anchorage Gladiators this week hoping to avenge defeat from the opening fixture.
The Gladiators are 2-7 but this could still be a tough week for the Phantoms who are tasked with shutting down an offense that has put up more yardage than any other team so far this season.
The Phantoms will be looking to build upon last weeks win and improve their 3-6 record. A bye week in week 11 follows
Well, we're not in your league yet, and I still expect the Punx to pass us by the end of the season. Our record is fair: an average team with an easy schedule = 5-3 (could just as easily be 3-5). Probably one of the best things we have going for us is that we play you on the last day of the season, when you'll probably be resting your starters.
It just gets worse and worse. WTF is up with Morton? I don't think I've ever had a 71 rated QB play this bad. It's almost impossible for a top rated QB to play bad in FOF. Yet, here we are. I'm really getting sick of his shit. Oh, sure. He threw four TD's and had 341 yards this week. But he cancelled that out by throwing four picks. One of them the game losing pick six.
Well, maybe everyone else sucks, but we don't. We win a defensive struggle against Portland. The difference in the game... a fumble return for a TD. Defense wins games in the OSFL.
Holy balls, what an upsetting loss. We dominated Camden for the entirety of the game, never allowing them into the red zone. Shea didn't do shit, Balgaroo was not a threat, but we could not manage to score on our own despite being right on the doorstep 3 times. Sickening.
It looks like my offensive game plan didn't go in because the changes I made weren't there. I wonder if I'm doing something in my plan that the AI rejects it and resets it.
Regardless, my team actually displayed some offense this week so we won. Neil Cibella and the defense made it tough on North Liberty and we scored 30 unanswered points after NLB put up the first seven. I hope we can sustain this but I won't be surprised if we end up behind NLB in the standings.
All I can say is... WOW! Don't have any idea how that happened. But I'll take it. We really needed a division win. I changed my offense a little, but not much. The tweaks made a big difference. And on defense I'm trying to focus a little more on the passing game. Looks like both changes worked out in a big way. I hope it continues, but it was probably just a very lucky week for us. I am certain we are not that good.
Next up, Brooklyn. Time to try to beat these guys and go to 2-2 in the division. Another must win game for us.

Another "Grauman rules" type of game, Durden extended for 3 Years, and we are at the Top of the AC with a 8-1 Record, the D# kept the pace with Smith out of the team and Lukehart replacing Teller at the starting CB position, Holliday should comeback soon thought
GG MC, I am sure you will enjoy your automatic W on Week 17 against my back-ups if we seal the #1 Seed soon!

GG, Rob. The Memphis offense showed up strong again this week, scoring on every first half possession with the exception of a blocked FG attempt. Our defense didn't make many big plays, but was able to hold off the Waco offense late in the game to protect our lead. With this win we pull to within one game of Waco for the division lead, and pull to an even tie with New Orleans for second place. Let's see if we can carry our momentum forward against another division rival in Port City next week.
