We overcome three picks thrown by Morton to take down the top team in the league. I guess we were fortunate that those three picks only resulted in three points.
The defense saved the day and really held the high powered Chicago offense in check.
We go into halftime down 21-14, and kick 3 FGs in the 2nd half, while our defense plays shutout football, to win 23-21. Wish we could find the end zone a bit better, to make games feel a little easier. This was a tough game and we are lucky to come out with a win.

Jarrod Gaddy leads Portland Phantoms to victory at home versus the Charlotte Sentinels. QB Gaddy had a completion rate of over 80% on the day and threw five touchdowns (three to WR Joyner) against zero picks on the day.
Worryingly, the defense was scorched still gave up some big plays despite shutting down the Sentinels' running game.
Our defense keeps us in the game despite being shut out 10-00 in the first half and QB Luther Lyon throws for 295 yards and 2 TD's in a surprising 28-13 victory. New Orleans has a road win in Boston and we have a very tight AC South battle. After another strong performance from Lyon, we have a full fledged QB controversy in Waco.

GG, Irish. I screwed the pooch on the gameplanning for this one. I relied way too much on the passing game and was getting familiars at the end of the first half. This lead to us being completely ineffective in the second half and blowing another lead. It was a tough fought game, though. Hats off to South Maryland.
GG Los Almos, We lost another on the score board thanks to turnovers 3 INTs and a fumble. We did do lot better yardage wise if that counts for anything lol. 425 to 231 yards given up. Well on to next week.

A big 34-7 win on the road as the Bombers defense shows up in a big way this week, allowing less than 250 yards of offense for the 2nd week in a row.
Everybody played well today for us, but I'm pretty sure it was huge for the offense to get Kendall Tyson (T) back. Granberry threw 266 yards, 2 TD and MOST IMPORTANTLY no interceptions. The rookie RB, Jose Parrish ran for 127 yards on the ground. Ryder Sheldon (WR) had 5 catches for 132 yards and 1 TD. We picked Covington off twice and forced 2 fumbles. Just an all around good day for us.
For only the 2nd time this season (but in consecutive weeks) we have averaged over 4 yards per carry on the ground. Unsurprisingly, we have played well offensively in both of these games as getting some production on the ground takes so much pressure off Vodka N. to do it all.
We came into this game playing a bit more conservatively on the defensive end as we didn't want to see a living legend like Covington torch an overly aggressive defense. Noticeably, we only had 2 sacks today but we did pick off Covington twice, so in the end it worked out for us today.
One thing to note is that at 36, Covington still has some wheels. I'm glad I wasn't around when this guy was in his prime.
GG, Gainsville.
GG Delandis, i didnt expect such a blowout. with this loss we lose first place in the division. We need to get out of this slump ASAP

GG Rob..
We are not the same this year. I was getting comfortable with the 10-0 lead going into half time then all hell broke loose in the 2nd half.. good luck rest of the year.
Just make sure you are only looking at the "First Half" tendencies. Teams that win lots of games and jump out to big leads will skew the overall results towards the run. How's that for a humblebrag? Your only problem then is sample size. Checking one or even two seasons worth means that for some downs and distances it will still pull up too small a number to make a reasonable assumption as to what the team is doing. (*cough* like running on third down *cough*) Checking back several seasons an help cancel some of this out, but then you don't know how often they've changed their game plan.
Fortunately in our case I have hardly changed mine since I got here which would be the 2012 season for the first year with Camden, and 2009 I think in Los Alamos. (*cough* still running on third down *cough*)
I upped the run percentages and threw more short passes last year to try and get Shea that All Purpose Yards record, but otherwise I usually only tweak the pass distances and run directions a bit depending on what is or isn't working or who we might be playing. So you can either run the Gameplan Anaylzer for the last 26 seasons or I could just post it here so you can glean its secrets. (*cough* third down *cough*)
Now you'll just need to work on that time machine/draft Shea part of the plan.
