Finally got mine in! Up to nine total now. I know we can do better.
------------
QB - Rylan White and Ted Pleasant. Where did White come from? The dude just blew up this season. Pleasant made it over the others in spite of his throwing. Huh? Well, anyone throwing to the Dynamic Duo is gonna be pretty good, but pleasant added 400 yards on the ground. I'll give it to the old guy, he deserves it.
RB - Shea. And Grauman. Grauman barely edges out Vern Conley as Grauman caught almost everything thrown his way for 700 yards.
WR - Dixon Collins, Floyd Mallory and Deion Winslett. Collins is boring, but consistent. Mallory is a beast but Bigfoot should get half the credit here. Winslett is my wild card here because he lit the league up for 13 TDs in his first season in Columbus. Props to Nemesis for getting the most out of him.
TE - Pretty weak this year, but Norm Gibson and Mad Dog Mason get the nod. Gibson was the best overall, but Mason makes it from being such a beast in the Red Zone.
OL - LT Robert Newton gets my to vote after giving up 1 sack from the LT position. G Andrew Godfrey was all around good but very efficient in the run game with 115 (!!!) opportunities. LT Tyrell Edwards barely makes it after a slight down year for him. Slight down year is still amazing and none of the other players stepped up around the league, so the name recognition gets the nod here.
DL - Two NTs in Neil Cibella and Donovan McEachern get my nod. They both managed to get into the backfield and make plays from a position that doesn't usually wrack up stats.
Edge - DE Lincoln Cleaver ate people up. WLB Justin McIntyre continues to do what he does.
LB - This is always a tough category as plenty of ILB eat up tackles. I gave these awards to players who did that but also helped in other ways. MLB Fred Glover managed 8 sacks, which would be tops from a handful of teams in the league. MLB Percy Brooks continues to be a nightmare against the pass, scoring yet another TD from the position.
DB - CBs Leslie Parker (yawn) and Conner Cannida get my vote. Cannida "only" intercepted 5 balls, but defended 24 passes thrown his way. SS Deion Mullens tackled 100 people while picking off passes left and right.
Team MVP - CB Arnie West. Dude keeps playing way above his bars and returned three of his eight INTs for TDs. Thanks, dude!
----
League MVP & OPoY - Shea. This dude is unreal. The sun is hopefully setting soon on his career.
DPoY - DE Lincoln Cleaver. Same thing here, just a stud who hopefully will leave soon.
ORoY - RB Rickey Grim. None of the QBs stood out and while I almost gave this award to LT Tim Talbert or Conner Diaz, Grim did more with less. It's pretty clear that Pearl Harbor needs to get the ball in his hands more often.
DRoY - Another tough choice here, but CB Herb Hartman picking off 8 balls stuck out to me. If he manages to defend more passes in the future we're looking at someone who can put up 90% in PassD. So glad he's in my division...
