Tight Game, i feel lucky i got away with that late pick. Still its a 14-13 home victory, this spells bad for the return game. Some how i wished my front 7 would cause more trouble
GG there
The ending blew chunks. Hail Mary? No, let's scramble for 6 yds...
We came away with the week 1 win, but it might have cost us our season. We lost our starting WLB for the year in the preseason, and this week we lost our starting QB for the year. Shawn Martinez played valiantly in the backup role, completing 14 out of 18 passes for 178 yards and the winning touchdown. The job will be his to lose. He's earned that right after sitting the last three years without taking a single snap.
We face a tough assignment next week in a very good Columbus team. We'll see how everything shakes out after that game.
I'm going to say it again. MotherFUCK these injuries!!!! We have arguably, one of the top three SC in the league. We spend more time on strength and conditioning in TC than on almost anything else. (2-3 hours), yet every week of preseason and now in week one of the regular season, we lose a player for a significant amount of time. Now, because of this, I have to cut a player and sign someone to have a legal roster. BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!
As for the game:
Spoiler
Our offense was pathetic. We turned the ball over. Couldn't run. Couldn't pass. Couldn't control the clock. Yet, at the end of the game, we were leading. That is until Ohio went into it's two minute drill and drove 80 yards to score with :11 left and win by three. Our defense had forced six consecutive punts until that last drive. Maybe they thought six was the max and they had to let the Sharks go. Idiots.
I'm not happy with this season so far. I should have left.

GG Ter13dan. Not the way I wanted to start the season. I don't mind the losing the game but sure was hoping for a much loser score losing by single digits. Anyways I put my rookie RB Jackson in as my starter as I was wanting his youth to run the ball he is given 2 carries for 52 yards. Somehow the game switched and made Sparkman my RB and he had 13 carries for 42 yards. Don't understand how my guys got switched but try it again.
Yeah, with Bigfoot on the field I feel that would have been a very different affair.
We could not get our running game going and it seemed like we were turning the ball over left and right. Two lucky plays in the 4th quarter and we sneak away with a 1 point win.
Didn't think I had a chance but it was a very close defensive type of game. My kicker made the kick of his career with that 52 yarder.
Injuries are eating us alive and we had some huge penalties this week wiping out sacks and big offensive plays.. Just a rough opening week hopefully, but not having Ramon Moe is gonna be a pain in the ass. He is what made this defense go, now he will miss probably 5 or 6 weeks. Not to mention our secondary is just beat to shit at the moment.. Its gonna be a tough year if we can't get healthy and stop beating ourselves with these penalties.
GG man. That was definitely one hell of a kick. I thought we had a chance to maybe make a last second drive after a miss, but it was not to be.
GG Los Alamos! We have some work to do on defense.
There goes the season. Kennedy Owen out for the season.
